    Would like to know his pass succession rate in the games he has played. Even his long balls are so accurate. Honestly don’t remember him giving the ball away at all.

    Delighted he is finally starting to get a run in the side. Well overdue and as usual he isn’t putting a foot wrong. Think Brendan is finally starting to see that our play is far superior with him in the side.

    Gordon has made so many mistakes and was continually getting picked so Bain would have to do something seriously wrong to get dropped imo.

    I think with him being in goal the defence and midfield are more comfortable that there will be a better out ball to the feet of players,so relieving the pressure when pressed.
    Hopefully Craig Gordon is done and Bain keeps the jersey.

    Aye there was a moment where simunovic had to race to catch the ball towards the byline,he knew where keeper was and with back almost turned managed to ping a ball to bain to clear the danger from the man chasing Jozo down. Bain then cleared it without issue.

    That sort of thing you wouldn't get with Gordon in goals. The defenders aren't confident with him there and wouldn't think to be able to do that.

    He may end up not being the great keeper we need for Europe, but he is more than good enough for the domestic game and offers a lot more to his game than Gordon. Much rather go in to Europe giving him at least a chance, than persist with Gordon's nonsense

    Not sure he's the answer long term but we certainly look way more assured at the back with him in goal rather than Gordon.

    Still can't shake the fear he's going to get dropped for no reason. Hopefully some english mob with more money than sense will toss a couple million at us for Gordon, he's been living on his past reputation for us long enough maybe they'll buy into it too.

    Will be interesting to read this thread if he makes a mistake in a Sevco or European game or at one of the toughies.

    Just remember who we've played.

    I like him but I'm still surprised Gordon has been dropped as for me hasn't actually made a host of bloopers, his kicking is inferior, I'll say that.

    Gordon has made loads of howlers, he cost us the tie vs Inter Milan years ago ffs. He’s slack domestically and simply not good enough in Europe, feels like most shots against him off a decent side end up being goals. I’m sure there was a stat that backed this up?

    Bain should’ve been in a while ago and thank * Brendan finally realised that

    The only shock is that it’s taken BR so long to recognise he’s a better option for our style of play..

    Is Gordon a better reflex shot-stopper, aye.. is Bain better in every other department, aye..
