What are you expecting in January?

We have the cleanest disciplinary record in the league , while the huns have the worst they are showing more battling qualities than us even if they are OTT and getting away with it a lot of times still.

 

They will get away with it we won’t.

 

Disappointment

 

All we have to do is match hunger and desire as teams will fight for it, we are vastly superior football team. football has got us 7 trophies though so far, proving to be the right method most of the time.

 

The Huns have got two in the door already and we've no even announced a signing that was apparently a done deal on Xmas Eve.

Plenty of time left, but why do i get that feeling that i'll be disappointing

 

The window only opened on Tuesday. Chances are you will be underwhelmed but still early days.

 

We know what’s required this window to sort this team out but going by past years activities we will have a few panic buys or loans and one or two youngsters for the future

Come the end of January it will be the same old pish

Penny pinching antics started already, we tried etc etc, * the people at the helm of this club, we should have had everything ready before the window opened for our initial targets, reasonable offers none of the tight arsed *.

How is it that our board manages to make our club look so unattractive to potential players? It really isn't difficult to market Celtic Football Club. It's a worldwide brand with a notable manager with pedigree and a 60,000 seater. Even taking the emotional elements out of it (best fans in the world, European nights, etc.) it is a VERY easy task to make our club look desirable. Obviously no one knows what exactly is going on behind the scenes, and maybe there's a small chance we get someone effective for our first team, but it's so * infuriating to see us not make signings and fail to keep pushing the limits of what the team is capable of.

 

Defoe and Davis signing for them will make Lawwell and co more determined than ever to spend less, to prove our policy is so much better and they're so much smarter than "throwing money" at things.

I get the club's vision has been long term this past few years and I get that Rangers are throwing money at short term solutions to stop us making 10IAR, however there needs to be a balance. If hotels and lights mean we have to endure a summer like the one past and regress on the park as Rangers and other clubs improve, the hotels and lights should be shelved and money should be thrown at the playing staff. I also think the club need to have a serious look at the deadwood on our books and move those on.

We are in a position where individually we are some distance ahead of the Huns, however things have become stagnant, we need a freshen up, players need to go and a couple of quality additions brought in to bring a bit of a buzz to the place and give everyone a lift. If that happens we'll walk to the title again and like I said in another thread, if we don't it's gonna be a close run race with only ourselves to blame.

 

Again the hysteria on here is breathtaking. Without sounding like a broken record but what the * do you all expect. We’ve won every domestic trophy for 2 and a bit years, on top of the league and a game in hand and still in Europe. Granted we missed a trick or two in the summer but we spent £9M on a striker.
This board has guided us to 7 trophies and the chance to get to 10IAR so all those willing to slaughter them now for one defeat by Rangers wants to have a word with themselves.
I expect the board to respond to the defeat and I expect them to invest in the team, anything else would be worthy of criticism but Ffs this place is beginning to read like the Bears Den on RangersMedia.
