Defoe's a good player if he still has the legs. Davis was replaced at Southampton by a guy who wasn't a guaranteed starter for us last season so not sure how good he will be

Personally, no I wouldn't. In fact, what I came in here to post, before I realised he had signed for them, was that I wouldn't want him but that I hope he doesn't sign for them.
I think he is a good fit for them, unfortunately, even if he just gives them a lift and no more. He could certainly win them a few points. It does pose questions about Morelos too...

In his prime Defoe was top drawer, I don’t think he is really what we need though.

For me he can’t play a lone striker role.

We need one of our striker signings to be more a physical type, then he could play on his own, or with Edouard. We’d also have the option of playing Eddie on the left.

A Defoe type also wouldn’t really suit Rogic, Forrest etc to play off.

We better get our f.ucking finger out though because the windows recently have been a disgrace.

Rodgers has to take more responsibility, but my biggest issue is Lawwell, - he’s done a lot of good things, but he’s a control freak, and bottom line, nothing he does surprises me.
