    Haven't seen him play in ages so can't comment. Our striking options just now saw us play an 18 year old winger in the loan striker role in our last game, so I wouldn't be averse to just about anyone right now.

    Wonder when Griff will be back....

    Folk get carried away with the ‘tear the league apart’ hyperbole.

    However, I have no doubts in my mind whatsoever that Defoe would score goals for Celtic. Regularly and consistently. Any goalscorer would.

    18 month loan deal for a 36 year old is one of the more mental deals i've seen in football, not surprised the huns are involved.

    We would all be over the moon if he was coming to us for 18 months. He's exactly what we need in terms of being a natural goalscorer, offering a different option and and would help develop Edouard.

    Typical hun "statement" signing wich comes with all the bravado , but we've seen it all before with yer Alves and yer Bartons. Although he (was) a better player than them hard to tell how he will do.

    Maybe it'll put our already under pressure board into action too and spend some money for a change.

    I would've been happy getting Defoe on loan for 18 months if the wage contribution was right. Can't say he doesn't bolster their attacking options.

    We do business the Celtic way though - slow as a week in jail.
