Nobody is questioning what he's given to the club, but sentimentality breeds mediocrity and he's best deployed now as an impact sub.

Think he knows this himself Paul and why he has put off signing a new contract. No surprise that Australia has been suggested as his next move as that would make perfect sense.

I been saying brown looks like he is in decline for a while and keep getting the old reply - you can't base it on this performance. Look I love Broony as much as the next Celtic fan but you cannot argue with the facts. he is approaching or approached an age where sharp declines happen. It's not his fault or ours. It just happens, it's life. You get older and your body simply cannot do things it used too, it's not science. Unfortunately I think that time has come for broony, that's not souley based on today's performance either, it's based on this season as a whole. This game simply highlights that!

Now compare him to what in my eyes was our best performer in McGregor. It's a fact, McGregor can now operate that role at a better level than brown. Broony at his peak would have definitely had that role to hear myself, now it's time to recognise we need to evolve with time. Loyalty is nice, but let's not lose sight of the ultimate aim. That's to dominate Scottish football and improve in Europe. You don't do that by showing unquestionable loyalty to 34 year old declining player. Broony is now a great backup option but by no means first choice imo...

Brown wasn't the worst, yer man Ntcham and Christie posted missing so we basically had 1 midfielder who gave a * today all they did was press and tackle stop us from playing, picking up all the 2nd balls , but we didn't have the nous of Mcgregor and Rogic to pass fast out of it too sloppy.

NtSham and Brown should be sold in January along with Gordon.
Either make Bain 1st choice keeper ad bring in good back up keeper or pay the money for excellent keeper.
    Bring in decent defence.
Get rid of Boyata and Lustig.
They have the money should * well spend it.

Memories are short in football , but the flip side is you don't want players staying to long and tarnishing it by fans reactions and opinions , but that's the managers call and am sure he knows when and how that will happen .

No one can expect brown to be the guy who carried us. His legs are 34 now and he just isn't quick enough anymore. He affects the mobility and movement in our team now, McGregor must play centre now with Christie or ntcham.

It was sad to watch him.

There was no fight. No desire. No swagger.

He's no longer the guy we can depend on in the middle of the park. Luckily, we've found his replacement in calmac.

    I still love you, Brown.

    He looked seriously rattled yesterday.

He looked like joey barton did when he faced us. Deer caught in the headlights.

He expected a scrap and got caught out without back up.

A player 4 years his junior wouldve coped... he simpĺy couldnt.

Love love love broony... but its time for him to rest those legs and become a sub.

Hamburg at home in 2009, I’m sure was worse. But yesterday was up there.

The bizarre truth is we’ve been a better team without him for years, yet he always pushed us to wins due to being the only one with balls in the entire squad. He was never a good passer or creative but now his legs have gone we’ve totally lost everything he brings to the team.

The fear factor is finally gone, opposition no longer panic when faced by him and like I said a while ago it’s time he hung his boots up and coached some positional sense and bollocks into our kids,

Agree he needs to play less, but still
