Got it all wrong today in a bad way. Didn't help that some of the players were miles off pace, but that lineup was criminal.

 

I hope now the supporters who have been thinking we will walk this league wake up now and understand how POOR of a team we really are. A rookie manager for them have them now in a battle with us to win the league. Simply this situation is not good enough on the money BR is spending on wages.

 

Another baffling lineup, Mikey has potential but no chance should lead the line in a game like this, McG moved aside to accommodate our captain who should hang his head in shame, * it, no point moaning will be the same * after the break.

 

I agree with a lot of what you say, but the truth is McGregor was the best option at left back. We undoubtedly missed him in the middle, but it’s the summer’s recruitment (right back and striker) that bit us today.

 

His decision to start McGregor at left back was mental enough.

His decision to not move McGregor into the midfield at half time was shambolic.

Not one for knee * reactions usually but I blame Rodgers 100% today. Painfully obvious we needed McGregor in midfield after about 15 minutes, even move Brown to left back if we have no other option.

No point bringing on Edouard when we could barely string 2 passes together in midfield. And Johnston alone up front was a crazy decision.

 

Rodgers sold the jersey again today. He’s done it so many times this season we’re actually in a title race against that mob. Motherwell, Hibs and now the Huns.

 

Exactly this, starting McGregor at left back was a mistake a novice couldn’t even make. Surely JK would have even noticed this was a fatal error.

 

Worst performance under him imo. Couldn’t have done any worse tbh. Absolutely * it. Ryan jack and Andy Halliday were allowed to stroll about the park today .. that’s unforgiveable.
I know at some point they had to win, but today shouldn’t have been that day. Brendan made a rip roaring * of it today

I agree that Rodgers did himself no favours today but people you gotta remember that the board did Rodgers no favours in the summer. Since the start of this season we've played what - 40? - competitive games with a side that is weaker than last season. The Treble Treble is still on, 8 in a row is still on, and we've got Europe after Christmas.

We go into the winter break level on points with the nasties and that's pretty awful admittedly. But surely this is the window where Lawell gets the finger out and addresses the growing threat of complacency. Two or 3 quality signings, the players get a rest, and we're back at the end of January and raring to go. Mon Cewtec!

This is what annoys me in football. If Tierney is on the bench then he is fit to play so play him. If not don't have him on the bench

 

He put out a team who were going to get bullied up front all day long. Play Eddy ffs even if he wouldn't last 90 mins, get the * job done early then bring on Mikey.l who isn't even a natural striker. Calmac at left back when we have Izzy, an experienced lb to cover there and Calmac is probably the best midfielder we have is just * baffling. Brown and Ntcham have been half arsed all * season, why the * go with 2 off form players at the heart of the team? Sinclair has been off form for 2 seasons now and a handful of decent recent performances doesn't warrant him playing in this fixture. Arrogance took over there Brendan, thinking we could just turn up and win when we've already lost several * games this season.

Even an unfit Tierney is a better option than an out of position midfielder in defence. No disrespect to McGregor because he showed what he is capable of against if he is played in his proper position. Rodgers decision ended up making McGregor look silly for nothing

 

Exactly. To add to that as well what was the point in playing Izzy then trying out Hayes at LB to randomly throw in Mcgregor out of the blue
