No chance is he done here. We should start selecting him for games that will see him have the best effect but he still has plenty to offer us.

People saying he is done etc will be the same ones shouting for him to be brought on against the Huns when they start flying in with challenges with the aid of a compliant referee.

Agreed. Ntcham and Brown can't play in the same team.

I'll take an experienced Brown giving everything to win over a half-arsed Ntcham every day of the week.

Firstly I don't think anyone is writing him off, I think it's more of a general acceptance that brown is past his best and that the younger generation of bhoys seem to be the ones bringing the points home now.

We all recognise brown has been a top class servant and may still have another season in him. That being said I don't think he has another season of being first pick in him. And it's natural progression in any footballers career. He will find himself on the bench more and more. The younger bhoy will find even more form and fitness and the result will probably see brown decline quicker than before.

You say people have written him off many times before but he wasn't 33 on those occasions. We all love broony, we all wish he would last forever but this is the game. He won't last forever, the decline has to start somewhere. I think majority just feel the decline is starting to show a little now

Just read the posts in here, plenty are saying he is finished. Yes he is 33 but my point still stands that plenty had him finished before a couple of seasons ago.

I don't think Broony will start most games but no way is he finished.

I would go as far as to say, if we want a fast energetic team starting, then he`s on the bench. Coming on to secure the points. If we need a dogged hard working performance, then hes on the bench looking to hopefully come on at HT . Even on the 29th Id be struggling to start with him, as like yesterday, the tackles are a tad slower theses days, and he`s just as likely to pick up a red or two.

You think Scott Brown's game is/was about tiki taka passing and has no drive forward? :56::56::56::56:

You're just making things up now.

He's had 2 red cards in his whole Celtic career. 1 v Ross County which was rescinded and the other was in the 09/10 season, Lafferty diving like a * when there was a coming together.

He's slowing down a bit which is evident but folk on here love being drama queens, he's not finished

That's like saying about a striker, hes scored x number of goals throughout his career, and he will continue to bang them in no matter his age. Its obvious broony is getting slower, but his mindset is still to be competitive. That will result in more reds going forward, as his timing will be slower. I still standby the fact that his style now doesn't suit us. Legend or not, the natural time to move someone on is before he starts to cost us, not after its proved he has. Similar to the call going out with Lustig.

Fergie had the good knack of doing that, other than with Jaap Stam.

He's been great for us & I don't want him to leave just yet, we might need him if the league starts to get dodgy. One thing for sure we can't put him in the midfield with Ntcham after yesterday's awful performance from the whole team.
Does anyone think he could drop back into defence and do a sort of John Clark job for us, or possibly a reserve full back.

    Forgot about that one.

People try to paint him as a thug but he's nowhere near it.

If your referring to me painting him as a thug, your way off the mark. What I am saying is the way his game is, will result in more yellows and reds .
