I agree tbh, but he still starts against that mob for me. Those games are different and we need Brown in there or we could easily get bullied.

Would rather pass them off the park mate and if we were to play the way we can they don’t get near.

Bullied by who? They are rotten.
We need to be direct, have a constabt press, high intensity and urgency against these *.
At the minute brown doesnt bring any of that to the side.

We have been bullied by worse than they have. And they are that rotten they can go above us later.

Just pretty obvious the Ntcham/Brown combination doesn't work , especially when it's to the detriment of McGregor

We actually struggled without him before until Christie came in and McG slotted into that role, I think he and everyone needs to realise he still has use but should not be an automatic first team pick, most likely if he loses his place he will take the contract offer in Aus.

This is the main problem in my opinion. McGregor is dictating the pace of the game sitting in front of the back 4. The other 2 are slower or unable to do so.

Domestically from now on that position should be Mcgregors. Everyone fully fit, Brown and Ntcham should be on the bench.

I don’t think it does, he was carrying an injury at the start of the season.

Still don't think he looks fully fit.

    Certainly not match fit, anyway.

I'd begrudgingly move him upstairs in the summer. Time for him to coach full time and get a well deserved permanent break from playing.

The problem I have with that is will he be teaching the youngsters the same thing? Controlled aggression, all for it, but his game recently has been more about retaining possession, rather than worrying about going forward. He receives it and small passes to either of the two CHs, then moves gets it again, then repeats. He likes to be the third CH a lot of the time. Id be concerned he teaches the ticky tacky game, but with no drive forward in there. If he knows that's what we do, then he doesn't practice it himself, always looking for the simple square passing.

Some of the comments in this thread are embarrassing. How quickly some have turned on our own.

He is getting older and with that he will not be the power he once was but he is still an integral part of the club and team.

For those who like their comparative stats...

Trophies in last 10 yrs since Brown signed: SPL/SPFL x 8, Scottish Cup x 4, Scottish League Cup x 5

Trophies in the 10 yrs before Brown signed: SPL X 5, Scottish Cup x 4, Scottish League Cup x 4

He has been written off before by plenty on here mate, is he the player of a few seasons ago? Probably not, but he is not done imo.
