    I watch/follow the Portuguese league, so, I have a pretty good understanding of Benfica...they're a confounding team as of late, as the consensus in Portugal is that from a budget/talent perspective, they've completely underperformed in the Champions League the past two years, I think a lot of it has to do with their coach, Rui Vitoria. Many in Portugal are confused/surprised by Benfica's results, but don't let their recent CL performances and their current league position lull you into thinking they'll be easy...as much as I don’t care for them, I have to begrudgingly say that they're a solid, dangerous team especially when their striker Jonas is hot, and they can absolutely overwhelm you when they're playing their A game. I'm a Sportinguista, and know all too well what it's like to go up against those *, especially at the Estadio Da Luz, I wouldn't really want to draw them. Although, believe me, if Celtic were to draw Benfica, all they would see are green and white hoops and it would irritate them...:56:

    I'm not going to get too worked up about who we get at this point. We could get someone that has been horseshit up to now, but in 2 months time, after a transfer window, could be absoutely flying. It's just good to be in the draw, although having teams with worse uefa rankings be seeded while we aren't, just because of the league they are in, does irritate me.

    I’d take, in order;
    Villareal
    Genk
    Zagreb
    Dynamo
    Benfica
    Think we’d have a decent chance of going through against one of those.

    Then, maybe have a slim chance against;
    Inter
    Betis
    Valencia
    Zenit
    Leverkusen

    Any of the other teams would pump us.

    think we would all love Villareal .. i don't know enough about Genk to make a call on that one. Just give us a fighting chance against a team not full of multi million pound players.

    I’d take Genk since i wont have to travel far. On the flip side, not an easy team. By far the strongest team in the league at the moment. Lot of quality young players we could do with.
