no loans and no dealings with Liverpool. we have a wedge of money we can easily afford to go out and buy a striker.

 

So we need a European level Striker in January that may be pricey teams may up the price knowing we actually seem desperate for a striker now and we shouldn't be looking at another 18-20 yo we need a 24-28 yo experienced Striker. Was happy to get another project knowing Griffiths was the experienced Striker.

 

Vincent Janssen has fell off the radar at spurs for some reason, but a good record in Dutch football 17 caps for holland only 24 and he's a presence.

 

No I think Rodgers and the player himself to an extent are behind why he was so successful

Taking players on loan from Liverpool etc you have to give these guys guaranteed game time or you risk getting fined.
Stop gaps sigings developing other clubs players.
Weve saw with Gerrard he's brought in 3 Liverpool players Ejaria,Kent and Flanagan theyre not even good and they need to play them..Benkovic for us has class though but he's not ours.

 

We now have a main defender in Boyata entering the last 6 months of his contract,Griffiths out for the forseeable and we raked in 20m at end of last window for Moussa , if another loan signing is the best they can come up with in january for Brendan he wont be here.

I would say that Solanke is a big step up to the 3 players you mentioned there. I only suggested loaning a striker for 6 months as we don’t know how long that Leigh will be out for plus the January transfer window is a hard market to find quality without paying way over the top.

 

Solanke is not proven at any sort of level, played very little game time , a young player again who you would be gambling on to make an impact only need to look at Musonda and he was higher rated.

 

You could also go out and sign a proven striker for £5million, doesn’t mean that he would be guaranteed to score goals in Scotland !!

 

If we are going to be splashing any money in the January window, I would prefer it to go on a centre half and right back

 

After the last window , RB ,CB and Striker shouldn't be out the question if being greedy someone to challenge Sinclair too.

Kenan Kodro from Copenhagen can play anywhere along the front 3. Cost them £1.5 Million in the summer so won't be cheap but decent record. He's tall so would add a threat from corners.

 

Christian Gytkjaer. From Lech Poznan decent record this season should be rather cheap joined them as a free agent last season. Not the tallest but not the shortest either. Current international aswell I believe for Denmark.
