He's a smarmy fud but I do agree with him on this point.

Watch his 'Socialism is Evil' one, he gets absolutely obliterated by a young student (starts at 7.13):

Enjoyed the beginning of that socialism video. Young lad also supports what I always say as well: you can’t claim to be a socialist/care for the working class if you support mass immigration. :34:

Somewhat agree. It's only natural that if you have a minimum wage at a level which is comparatively much higher than other countries and a completely open border that you'll have more incoming than outgoing.

I liked the duplicity from Crowder saying he did agree with redistribution of wealth for Defence/Security but not for anything else.

That's as complex an issue as abortion or euthanasia and definitely isn't as simple as socialists should not support immigration.

In general terms aye immigration has a net impact on the lowering of wages but ultimately without it, in Scotland's case anyway, full Industries and the economy collapse.

I disagree with him on many things but it's becoming impossible to have actual discussion about these topics with the left.

The biased studies posted earlier in the thread being a perfect example. As soon as you hear language like sis male being used it's clear there is no objectivity.

Nonsense line trotted out all the time by people. The 'perfect example' you have given is one single person, in a very specific subset of people who hold these opinions. It's nowhere near representative of a populist left view. I consider myself left-wing and I cringe at language like sis male, so that debunks your theory.

It would be like me using Richard Spencer wanting a 'White Ethno-State on the North American continent' as a perfect example of how evil the right is. Is he right-wing? Undoubtedly. Does everyone on the right subscribe to his view? Absolutely not.

There are hysterical people on both sides of the political spectrum that are unable/unwilling to engage and listen to other people's point of view.

Crowder is a fud that tours college campuses trying to belittle naive, young people that for the most part can't articulate their point of view very well. If he had any credibility he wouldn't go after the low lying fruit and would be debating with people in the political spectrum or involved in political media.

I'm center left myself and that is clearly not nonsense. The whole Kavanagh debacle and the wider metoo movement exemplies the inability of the left to entertain rational debate. It's absolutely infuriating as someone who leans left as any attempt by anyone in the public sphere to say hang on this isn't how due process works is immediately vilified by traditional and social media.

Whilst obviously there are people on the left who will debate, those in the public sphere are becoming a rarer thing for fear of the outrage mob who do not care about actual evidence or facts in general if somebody doesn't prescribe to their precise world view.

Of course there are idiots on both sides but at present the right is generally far more willing to engage in a rational conversation about things like gender disphoria.

His college shows are only a tiny part of what he does. He's engaging young people in political debate who are not usually challenged that way which is a good thing. The main show has a wide variety of guests some academic and media. He has also debated a number of trans people and activists on it. Whilst I get you not liking him if you watch his show everything is laid out with facts and all sources are cited unlike the vast majority of media. None of this smoke and mirrors nonsense you get with BBC debates etc.

Odd that you would say you're centre left but also say "it's becoming impossible to have actual discussion about these topics with the left." That sort of infers you aren't part of it?

Again with the sweeping generalisations. There's plenty left-leaning commentators and politicians who engage in debate.

I could easily counter that and point to the right-wing press drumming up anti-Corbyn hysteria, calling him and his partly anti-semitic simply because they criticise Israel and it's treatment of Palestine.

I'd hazard a guess that most of the people in this thread are left-leaning and yet most have engaged in a rational conversation about gender dysphoria, so I'm not sure how you've deduced that.

There's nothing engaging about his political discussions. Titling the series 'Change My Mind' then entering every discussion with a pre-determined mindset that you won't budge on is laughable.

The boy in the 'Socialism is Evil' video is the perfect example, he pointed out the hypocrisy of Crowder wanting increased spending on the army/Defence but doesn't see this as stealing (actually taxation) because he likes it, yet redistributing his (or any else's wealth) for things he doesn't like eg. Healthcare or Education is stealing.

I agree, note the use of the term ‘mass immigration’ and not immigration alone. :50:

What is ‘mass immigration’ though? Are there parameters?

Let Irish folk in to work in bars but not Poles to pick fruit for example?
