In Scotland, some folk have the impression that only neds and bams support Celtic (and sevco). Obviously there’s plenty, but it’s the same for every team!

Then there’s the assumption we’re all “bead rattlers” and the Huns are all Masonic spunkmonkeys.

Everyone I’ve met from the North of Ireland has strong support for us or the manky mob but complete opposite from the south - most of them haven’t a scooby doo about Celtic, and choose to follow English teams!

Do you mean the geographical north or the 6 counties?

    Think he meant Northern Ireland.

If he does then he’s wrong. Donegal would have a big number of Celtic supporters and have always has decent numbers traveling to games

Probably because of the close proximity to the 6 counties?

A lot of people from Donegal emigrated to Scotland and today there are quite a few Scots who have made the journey back. Also Packie being at Celtic so long would also have helped. Until recently also Celtic would have held youth camps in Donegal and often sent over teams to play local teams.

Jim Brogan was buried just a couple of weeks ago in Donegal, his second home.

I’m wrong about * all - I’m telling you about my experience which is that northern Irish folk are more into Celtic and the Huns, whereas the southern Irish folk are more into English prem. Maybe it’s a coincidence, I dunno?

Beautiful Sunday - the IRA version
Donegal would be one of the strongest Celtic-supporting places in Ireland.

Well you are wrong. How often have you traveled over on the boat from Larne or Belfast? My experience is from living in Ireland and traveling over countless times on the boat.

Have a look at the amount of teams called Celtic and then explain how the people in Donegal are all about the EPL

You can have an opinion but is it possible that you are wrong. You don't seem to want to accept that. It's widely accepted that Celtic have a strong support in Donegal. I fail to see how pointing this out could offend you so much.

What kind of expert am I supposed to be?

Read my initial post again : “Everyone I’ve met”. Shouldn’t of used the word opinion - should’ve used observation.
