In fact, it seems to be a hindrance.

Look at how we've ripped teams apart since McGregor moved into that slot. Suddenly no more playing across the back, the likes of Rogic and now Christie have more space. Goals are flying in. Love Brown but this is working exceptionally well.

    Let me know your thoughts.

We're still playing with a DM. We're just attacking faster and moving the ball better.

I'm sure we'll play a similar style when Brown comes back and do just as well.

Next week is a big test.

It's the games against teams like Livinston and Hunmarnock on their * plastic pitches that will see if this current line-up should be in it for the long haul.

To be fair, it’s a goalie we could do without at the moment.

We seem to have ditched a fear of losing the ball. We now pass the ball with more courage than before. I don't know if a particular player was slowing us down.

I was thinking of making this very thread, but I would still use Brown &/or Ntcham for games against Sevco and the sheep and European games of course.

Even with Calmac in CDM, he still gets forward. Having more flair players means more problems for opposition defenders.

There is no need for a DM against teams that will only park the bus. Having Christie, Rogic, Sinclair, Forrest & Calmac all probing is too much for them to handle.

Be silly to change it ,we will be pressed quicker meaning we have to keep our passing and touch sharp like now , we need to impose our game onto them and make them worry .

Domestically, McGregor is so good in that deep-lying playmaker role, it’s who should partner him.

Brown is needed in certain games, his level of performance since BR has come in, is on a different level.

Domestically Callum in the Scott Brown role is magic

Brown’s leadership is important in difficult European games I’d argue. Callum is too attack-minded to be trusted in that CDM role against top Euro sides. Against * like Hearts and dross like Dundee, then I’d say play Callum in that role every time. He’s thriving in it, plus it gives Scott a breather.

Great management from Rodgers to utilise Callum in this way.

2 younger players in that central midfield with more energy in the side meaning the opposition cant handle us as easy, calmacs passing with accuracy and pace and having an extra attacker since calmacs playing deeper

we have too much for them even when they park the bus

love brown but his passing can be slow at times but he is a defensive midfielder and ntcham hasnt the mobility of cal mac or christie but does have a lot of quality and creativity

thing is we stumbled onto this through our injury crisis probably wouldnt have played them both and in central midfield if we didnt have the injuries, funny how things work out
