Guy will go down as a great servant and mad as * but he is done as first choice RB imo only the fact we have gamboa and Ralston as alternatives is keeping him in the squad. For a free transfer he has to be up there with the best bosmans we have ever had!

It's a real shame he's been excellent for us, but he's getting it really tight at the games now. Hopefully we get a decent right back at the start of January

It's tragic really I remember meeting him in ASDA Bearden around 2015 and he was limping when he was walking I had my Celtic top on so said hello and we chatted he said he was in constant pain in his ankles at the time. But a genuine good guy with a great family.

With every passing game that Rodgers picks him he tarnishes his reputation.

Thoroughly likeable guy but thoroughly fed up of seeing him cost us dearly.

It's Europe that it becomes more noticeable. Trouble is Gamboa and Ralston are worse

Strange that you say that ,something ive noticed about his running style recently ,it seems unnatural and awkward so maybe he has been playing through this for a while noo ,i cant help but love the big guy ,great player ,real big tim and crazy * ,wots not to like ,would love for both he and broony to coach the young uns in a few years and break into management.

That used to be the case but he can't even do it consistently domestically now. See: GMS halfing, Partick Thistle pen, Barrie McKay roasting on hogmanay. Continuing to pick him is nothing more than stubborness by Rodgers...and tbh I'm fed up of it.

I've been saying this for the past couple of seasons. It's like his top and bottom half are from two different entities. The top half is desperate to show willing but the bottom half no longer does it.

Thought he looked no bad in the 1st half yesterday, but as soon as Hibs got themselves back into the game, his * collapsed.

Put him under any sort of pressure & he forgets how to function.

love the guy, as i've seen someone else saying id love to see him fit in to central defence soon if we're still having a lack of transfers, he hasnt got the legs, but he still does the damage !

Would love to see him stay as a back-up. It's not really fair to him to play him in every game.

He seems quite keen to stay, definitely happy to see him offered a new contract on the basis he's gradually phased out the starting XI and is one of the experienced heads in the dressing room for the younger guys. Absolutely no doubt with the level he's played at for us and on the international scene that he has a wealth of knowledge and experience to pass on which could only be a good thing for us.

In terms of remaining first choice RB though, he's totally done and has been a liability for a good bit of time now, since the second half of last season really, and we urgently need a replacement in January to come in and go straight into the team.

Keeping him as back up to a quality young right back would be the ideal situation. His legs are gone and he’s our weakest link, but he’s a leader and good to have around the squad.

He’s been a great servant to the club, but the longer he stays as first choice, the more he harms his legacy.

Rodgers did seem to be letting Gamboa onto the park for a bit but there must still be something going on there.

Ralston has just disappeared. Can't see why he isn't getting some game time this year given he got some last and was fine until he got injured. If he hasn't had some game time by December he should go on loan but doubt that will happen as obviously need some cover for Lustig if/when he gets injured.

If Ralston makes it at Celtic I’ll get WATP tattooed on my forehead.

He wasnt even. He should have been sent off early in the 2nd half in italy. For a badly mistimed high tackle when he was on a yellow

I think he looked ok in the first half because he had Forrest covering for him . When Sinclair went over there he had no cover
