I'll be seeing him on Thursday, with my bro and a couple pals. Seeing big Kev.IN on the Thursday, night out around Glasgow on Friday, then watching the Celts on Saturday, and being rough as * on the Sunday.

    Should be a decent weekend!

Not into paying exorbitant prices to watch a tiny dot move about a stage. When we went to see Doug Stanhope at the Academy we were about 6 feet from him, could almost touch him. Got there and got told by the bouncer "those are unreserved seats, sit where you want". We thought we were late getting there 45 minutes after the doors opened and we still got pretty much pick of the seats.

Comedy is lost when it's not close up and personal. Expression is often part of the humour.

I've got decent tickets for Kevin in Aberdeen. It seems pointless sitting at the back.

Yeah, the problem with Kevin Bridges is that for Glasgow he plays and sells out a huge concert hall so several thousand people barely get to see him (as well just waiting for the DVD if you are there to watch the big screens) up close and what's the going rate for his tickets? £60 to £100 a pop?

    Our tickets are £40 each.

Still a tidy earning playing in front of thousands every night.

That's a lot cheaper than I was expecting? How big's the venue? In Glasgow it's the Hydro he plays which holds 10,000.

I was sitting a row from the back, but it's some place the Hydro, cracking building, I did drift to watching it on the big screen but it was a good atmosphere, everyone pishing themselves :giggle1:

The AECC has a standing capacity of 8000. I'm not sure what it drops to seated.

The new venue opens up later this year with a Hydro capacity. Hopefully the big attractions come too.

Was there on Friday. Top class, 3rd time I've seen him and I'd say that's the best I've seen him as well.
