You think? Hows that? I think he comes across as pretty decent considering his English is *.

It's crazy the amount of staff they have on hand - after training sessions all the players are getting massages, treatments, haircuts.... the lot.
Bet all we have is a wheelie bin filled with ice for an ice bath :giggle1:

Considering he's meant to be a tactical genius, to me it seems like (in English at least), a lot of what he says is incomprehensible.

I still can’t make my mind up whether to take to him based on this show either. Coaching genius yes, but a lot of his supposed compassion for his players seems a bit contrived to me.

I could be wrong and there’s just a difference in cultural approach and output?

One guy who comes out on top for me is big Vincent Kompany. What a gent and a truly genuine guy.

To be fair I don’t think we get to see too much of that side of things - for obvious reasons.

As for his English.... I think he used Celtic Chat after one of our draws/defeats to learn how to talk football but make no sense :fear:

He’s obviously hugely successful and knows what he’s doing but it all seems a bit OTT for me.
Some of those team talk scenes were a bit David Brent like.
I expected the city dressing room to be a lot more calm and serious than it is.
It clearly works though and as others have said, what a life these players have- looks * amazing.

Started watching this last night after seeing this thread.

Aye it’s pretty good seeing the behind the scenes stuff.

    Pep seems pretty decent though.
And a little insight into how * a manager Jose Mourhino really is a la KDB

Also how long has Aguero been at Manchester? seems to speak zero English :giggle1:

I agree some of the time I wonder how the * some of the players understand what he's saying.

Finished it a couple of days ago. Thought it was great.

Their facilities are just incredible. Such a top class set up. Guardiola came across as very likeable and genuine imo...albeit I agree that some of his team talks were a complete blur for me. Could barely understand what he was trying to say.

Agree with m8ybhoy, I've always really liked Kompany and watching this just reinforces what a genuine and down to earth guy he is.

Watched 7 episodes now and was expecting Guardiola to be some kind of tactical and motivational genius.
Really surprised at how he just seems to blabber a load of garbage and dance around in his team talks. It’s not even just his broken English, really couldn’t understand most of the points he was trying to make.
Kompany on the other hand is a hugely impressive character and likeable guy.
