Pretty sure I’ve seen that on sale in Asda?

How much are you eating on a daily basis? Tbh I’m thinking 3000cals is my maintenance, my weight has stayed bang on this week, will give it another week and up the calories again.

Already eating 5kg of chicken a week, will give that shake a try as I don’t think I can afford anymore :giggle1:

So my shoulder is completely goosed, tried various stretches etc

Bench press is pretty much psychically impossible now, can barely bench a warm up set of 60kg or lateral raise 10kg, Incline dumbbell press seems to be ok to do though, maybe because more muscles are used in controlling the dumbbells.

Also doing a few light cable work exercises on the shoulder to see if that helps but tbh I think I need to bite the bullet and go see a pyhsio at this point.

    Look into accupuncture mate.

I got it after I was in a car crash - well somecunt went right into the back of me - shoulder was * for months couldn't even lift my arm up straight, got one session of acupuncture and any pain literally disappeared overnight.

Wee chinese docs do it for about £30 a session.

Throwing in 15-20 mins HIIT and Tabata workouts in here and there between heavy days. Long walks too. I detest jogging and this is proving far easier to stick too rather than kidding myself i’ll go for a morning run before work

What was it that was actually up with your shoulder?

Mines pretty much aches and clicks constantly, can feel the bone or something catching on something.

My left shoulder does that. I do round-the-worlds with light * weights on chest day and it clicks big time.

Broke my shoulder blade years back and it’s been like this since. Physio once told me posture and imbalance between my back and chest doesn’t help, so I work on that. Just get on with it really.

Aye pretty much my job ie driving all day = * posture and I’m stiff as a brick.

I’ve been trying to train through it but now it’s really hampering progress on my chest exercises, my mate has recommended I do cable exercises in place of barbell press with a lighter weight but more of a concentration on the muscle.

My shoulders, mainly the right one, were * for ages too. Brutal man, was positive I tore my rotator cuff. Benching was out of the question.
Think it was just down to being so tall and benching heavy for years. Hammering chest constantly from such a young age was doing me no favours either.

Now I bench very light, only on smith machine and with the rare set of heavy dumbbells thrown in. I focus on the negative more and don’t do decline bench at all, and I’m just about ok.

Time to shift a few l̶b̶s̶ stones.

Came off all social media a few months back so any gym session will immediately less worthwhile that I can't check in and let everyone know.
