None of them teams are in the same position we are though?

We had no challenger for seasons we have a good manager and money in the bank and still have the biggest budget in the country.

Yet we have * it once again.

its sabotage when you time after time after time fail to sort out glaringly obvious flaws as you attempt to qualify for £40m champions league

in the last 2 seasons we were lucky and this season we got pumped by a bang average but solid side who if we had got an experienced central defender in we would have likely went through to the next round

we dont need a right back and a lustig replacement lustig is our right back

no matter what brendan says about boyata going nowhere because we cant get a replacement in, that's absolute horseshit because we aren't letting an asset like boyata leave for nothing or on pre contract, that and the board knowing he wants away should have meant experienced center half in to the 1st team for these champions league qualifiers so your not playing to unproven babies for our most important games of the season

all that other stuff is true but we are in control of our own destiny and we shot ourselves in the foot not for the first time, its not the press, media, sevco, other clubs or officials that caused us to crash out the other night its ourselves and in particular the self destructing arogant lawwell who whilst can be good and great at his job has plenty of * ups to his name being the chief executive and man who controls the purse strings

i dont normally listen to rumours from a few taxi drivers but i keep hearing we might be struggling financially with the high wage bill at parkhead and now we have lost the cushion of the champions league money and two big names could be out the door before the window closes .
so dont shoot the messenger might be just a rumour .

We publish our accounts, we know how much money we have and how much the wage bill is, that we're struggling for cash and have hidden debts is just hun fantasy, they assume we're being run like they are.

If we sell anyone else this window it's because they want to go, not because we need the money.

I Dont understand how anyone can disagree with the thread title and the op. He is bang on.

Its not a new issue, far from it. We have never prepared for qualifiers properly. Its fuking scandalous to think we cant properly back the man that got us 2 trebles from the squad inherited by the train wreck that was ronny fukin deila.

And for the people who disagree i have only one question.

Did you enjoy the football at parkhead last season?

Sounds true to me. Imaginary taxi drivers are usually a solid source for Celtic news.

What do the rumours say that are written in your own excrement on the wall of your secure unit?

    Yep.

We were in a European final two months before Lawwell's dictatorship began. Now look at us.

Said this for years now. He wants them at arms length and no more than that. They shouldn't even be relevant and they're slowly sliding back into view.

I could accept that if weren't sitting on piles and piles of cash and doing nothing with it.

Or putting money into things like lights and a hotel when we can't defend .

Possibly because management can't decide if we are a selling club or not.

There is a valid point in there but even then, you look back at Scottish football then to now and the little money it had is gone.

BUT, even with what we have available to us now and the "little" money we gain from selling players and CL qualifications, with what Rodgers has done to this club, back to back trebles, undefeated season, CL qualification twice in a row and even at first time of asking which no other modern manager done, the improvement made on players that we were able to sell and knockback bids on, he again like most managers before him has made this club both on and off the pitch the most stable it's ever been but yet our board still treat him like they have every manager before him.

I dunno, perhaps even with the money in the bank IF our only real income is player sales and CL qualification is it any surprise that our money men are hesitant to spend anymore after Eddie.

This * is just hurting my head now, just can't get how the board can't breakaway from their norm and give Rodgers a little extra.

Superb a thread from a year ago bumped, just so you can re-state the same points that have already been made in numerous - current - threads... brilliant :57: I suppose you at least resisted the urge to start another thread at least:56:
