BR on @MDembele_10 travelling with the team: "A big boost for us. He started the season fantastically in terms of his work & preparation, so it was unfortunate for him to pick up his injury. He’s worked very hard to come back & he’ll take his place in the squad.

BR: "He’ll (Moussa) take his place on the bench. He’s looked very fit and strong in his rehabilitation, and the beauty with Moussa is he wants to play & be involved. It’s too much of a risk for him to start but I’m sure at some point in the game, he’ll play a part."

CELTIC boss Moussa Dembele has confirmed Moussa Dembele will start on the bench against AEK Athens.

The Frenchman handed the Hoops a boost after making the flight to Greece for tomorrow’s crunch tie.

But boss Rodgers has stated that the 22-year-old will come off the bench after recovering from injury.

He said: “It’s a big boost for us.

“He started the season fantastically well and was unfortunate he got his injury.

“But he has worked very hard to come back and will take his place in the squad.

“It is probably too much to start, he will take his place on the bench.

“He has looked very fit and strong and the beauty with Moussa is he wants to play, he wants to be involved.

“It is too much of a risk to start but I am sure at some point in the game he will play a part.”

So basically he shouldn't be gambled with but we might need to :nonono:

Did more than enough at home to Rosenborg, literally a couple of weeks ago.

2 games doesn’t constitute being off any boil.

He's not, he sat out of a training session yesterday due to a slight knock he received in a previous session.
Basically they are just wrapping him in cotton wool until the game. He will start in front of Griff

I can admit that I was one who believed that Dembele would jump ship quickly for no apparent reason, but he have proven me wrong.

Professional boy which will take him far.

Not like the Boyata’s that barely ever played first team football, just to disrespect the first club that actually help them. They fail miserably.

He’s brilliant as a lone striker actually, his hold up and link up play, constant movement pulling defenders about creating space for others, gets in behind as well and obviously can score. He’s only 19 so he’s hardly going be that consistent.

Need him on asap. I'd take McGregor off and go 2 up top.

we were much better with 2 strikers on but can clearly see Dembele match sharpness isn't there yet. his first touch let him down and the header chance he missed clearly showed. wish he had been able to get a few minutes at the weekend just to try and help get that rust off.

That was a rusty, 70% at best Moussa and the difference is startling..

He's just much much much better than Griff..

    That's the truth..

I think he will be sold now. Will be gutted if he goes in this window.
