    I think there’s no doubt we asked the question, this is what I was meaning the other day when I was saying for quality players we very much aren’t first choice and I’d expect a lot of movement after the Premiership window closes as we won’t be fighting it out with English clubs that can throw money about - like Newcastle.

    The crazy thing is, ''if'' we didn't make any contact, for me that's bonkers as we have and will continue to take bigger risks in the future than i think this guy would have been. Play brinkmanship like we do and you're not gonna win them all....far from it, in fact!!

    Aye, if an EPL team want him then it would have been pointless of us wasting our time. He'll probably be getting £50-60k a week as a Newcastle squad player.

    No way. Surely.

    As I said earlier he will.be on 15k max with Deportivo you'd imagine. Maybe 20. There's no way he's getting a 30 to 40k wage hike having just been part of a relegated side.

    Point still stands though that even then they will.be giving him at least 30k which would make him our highest earner with Brown. Which says it all.
