There is no risk what so ever about this. Bring him on board for a week or two, if he is better than what we have, brilliant if not fair enough we move on

Yeah I’d be more worried if it was both knees , - the reports I read though said it was the same knee/same injury.

He seemed to have problems getting over it, had setbacks.

Anyway since then he’s had treatment from the knee specialist Andy Williams, who is regarded as world class.

He’s based in London, and is the same guy Moussa Dembele was down seeing on the day he was linked with a move to Chelsea.

If his knee is ok I think it could be a brilliant signing.

He seems a good lad, humble, and with a good outlook.

He reminded me a bit of Didier Agathe, - only a healthy version, who actually had no ligaments at all in his knee, couldn’t train during the week, or pass a medical, - of course Martin O’Neill being a law unto himself signed him regardless. Anyway I know it’s changed days but like other folk have said, we could sign someone for millions on a five year contract and they could get an injury like John Kennedy the following day so it’s never black and white.

Seems to be highly rated, he’s on trial and being heavily assessed by our medical team. If Rodgers and the medical team are happy, why should we not be because he wasn’t signed for £4/£5m?

Even though he's a free, he's not worth risking a wage on when RB is a critical position for us.

I'd much rather take our time, find the right fit in every sense and spend on someone who's played more recently.

So even if he fully impresses Brendan Rodgers and our medical staff are 100% satisgied it’s just a no from you?

They managed to sign off Compper as fit, look how that turned out.

sadly Rodgers one and only fault is his recruitment in defence, his record isn't great.

I'm happy to be proven wrong if anything comes of this as with any player they'd have my full backing in a Celtic shirt.

Compper was fit up until his first training session with us where he got injured. If we’re discounting players who can get injured in training we can’t sign anycubt.

yes, but would or medical staff not have his full history and produce an expert analysis on his probability for future injuries? humans can get things wrong no matter their experience and knowledge.

that's not to say they'd get this wrong as well because of earlier misjudgements but it certainly lends it self as something that will be considered each time they take a peek at a possible recruit who's been off with a long a term injury.

the boy is unit by the looks of things so if it does work out he certainly looks like a real physical presence on the right.

but nonetheless I'm allowed to sceptical over a signing when they have been out injured for 2 years, regardless of how highly rated they are.

It's not worth risking a wage? Seriously?

The guys supposedly been promising before his injury and hull fans are not happy they've lost him despite not really playing for 2 seasons. I hope if he impresses Rodgers we sign him.

He's more than worth taking a risk on if he does well in training etc.

It’s more doubting Rodgers and the medical team at Celtic than doubting the signing, I’ve not got many doubts with what is in place at the moment so tend to agree with whatever they decide.

It's more of gamble cause both knees have been * at such a young age.

His main attribute is pace and power but his knees being * it will change that.

Would be great to see someone get back to what they were but after two major knee injuries it's gonna tough.

This boy is not Larsson, plus this lad has had two major operations on each knee. Or maybe it's the one knee, if that's the case and it is the one knee he has a massive chance of it going again.

I think it'd be rare a player takes an offer like that, but obviously I don't have a clue.

He had an offer from Hull but turned it down and I don't think he'll be short of teams willing to take a risk.

I don't really mind what his wage is, I just hope if we sign him it's a one or two year deal with us having an option to extend by 2-3 years.

The lad discocated his kneecap and then fractured the same knee cap three months later. So its two injuries to the same knee. That was back in October 2016. According to Hull fans he has been fit for a while, totally rehabbed and was ready to play towards the end of the season.

The reputation this lad has down south he would be well worth the very small risk of signing him. No fee involved, no compensation as he is 24. If he gets back to full fitness and plays how he was pre-injury he will be one of the best defenders in the league

Only our fans could find a reason to complain about bringing a once highly rated boy in on trial with a view to getting him for free.

having three knee related injuries and it also being on not one but both knees that's potentially kept him from playing football for two years is a pretty glaring reason.
