She never mentioned Brexit or Independence once. Think her account's been hacked.

About time, so many positions in hospitals are understaffed and underpaid for what they do. I don’t mind paying a little extra tax for a good well run NHS that’s not on it’s knees struggling.

3% rise but isnt the tax an extra 1% at 21% for them now, so in reality 2%, below inflation again.

    ....and rightly so imo.
The more folk recieve in their pay packet the more they'll spend on goods, that in turn stimulates the economy.

Because then NHS staff would be protected from the tax rise?

Ridiculous why don't they offer those who are getting under £20k a 10% rise .does someone earning £75 k a year really need a pay bump

Aye cause folk earning 75k are obviously highly skilled people doing important medical work and we need to pay top dollar to get well trained, competent staff. Especially since Brexit scared off loads of young European doctors from coming to work here.

That’s the First Minister mate not the leader of the Scottish branch of the Tories.

I'm obviously oversimplifying the issue but wouldn't mean I'm worse off but their situation is unchanged meaning they are no better off?

Also would a tax hike not have an effect whether negative or positive for everyone meaning nothing changes other than making the poor poorer?.

With the tax changes, only those earning over £33k will be paying more so anyone earning under that will be better off with this increase

Feels fair enough. With inflation running at 2% it amounts to 1% over inflation over 3 years which isn't out of line. The teachers union rejected the same 3% offer, will be interesting if the government haggle above that for teachers and create a situation where teachers get bigger rises than those in the NHS.

Yeah fair enough that band 4 nurses are 800 quid better off in Scotland than England and qualified band 5’s 400 quid better off.

If that’s ‘fair enough’ from the SNP, announcing an immediate increase whilst the negotiations are still ongoing, what is the Tories lesser deal for English NHS staff?
