Really disappointed by this, he came back with a good promo, was gradually getting better in the ring and had huge potential. I feel as though his decision to go against the orders backstage in terms of that promo with the midget dude has led to this.

Can't say I was a fan in the slightest since he went single last year. Groaned when they paired Bryan with him.

Big Cass has been released from WWE.

WWE announced the following on their website: “WWE has come to terms on the release of William Morrissey (Big Cass)”. No further explanation was given regarding his departure from the company.

Dave Meltzer notes that Vince McMahon called a private meeting at SmackDown in Toledo today and fired Cass.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reported last month that Big Cass got heat after going off script in a segment where he was to beat up a little person who was dressed up like Daniel Bryan. According to the report, officials only wanted to have the performer laid out with a big boot. Cass wanted to do something more physical, and despite Vince McMahon telling him otherwise, Cass pummeled the performer with punches. The footage was later edited off social media sites.

Despite the reported heat, he had continued his feud with Bryan over the last month, culminating with their match at Money in the Bank where Bryan submitted Cass.

Cass first signed with the WWE in 2011, working both in Florida Championship Wrestling and NXT. He was paired with Enzo Amore while in NXT and was called up to the main roster in 2016. After splitting with Enzo last year, he had been working as a singles wrestler. He had just returned to in-ring action in April following a torn ACL back in Augus

Big Cass’s unexpected release from WWE was due, in large part, to personal conduct issues.

Multiple sources told Sports Illustrated that Cass was drinking the majority of the European tour and had attitude issues when drunk. Being intoxicated in public is one of the underlying reasons the WWE office was down on Cass.

Cass is 30-year-old William Morrissey, a talent that, up until recently, was a favorite of Vince McMahon’s.

WWE was brief in its statement, simply announcing, “WWE has come to terms on the release of William Morrissey (Big Cass).”

Cass had impressed WWE execs with his match this past Sunday at Money in the Bank against Daniel Bryan. Although he had heat with the office, there was internal surprise in WWE that he was released, which took place at Tuesday’s SmackDown taping in Toledo, Ohio.

Rest in Peace Vader. Some of stuff from WCW, WWF and in Japan during the 90's is incredibly impressive. For a big man he was able to do so much that you'd have expected his size to limit him from doing.
