    I think Brendan can be brutal on players he doesn't rate.

    I just don’t buy this Brendan doesn’t rate him.

    When he joined I remember reading an article where Compper was saying how impressed he was about the amount Brendan knew about him the first time they met, which suggests to me that he wasn’t a panic buy and Brendan really wanted him here.

    Far too easy to aim that at any Manager aiming to play attractive football. They’re saying the same about Pep Guardiola right now.

    The reality is if you retain the majority of possession, create chances and score goals playing expansive football you will always give away chances at the other end. No team in history has perfected the art of playing like Barca at their peak but defending like AC Milan at theirs.

    Rodgers can spot a defender just fine, *, he has made an 18 year old 6 foot 5 beanpole centre mid a rampaging centre half colossus.

    Brendan has made some strange decisions in the transfer market. Some great ones as well obviously, but it's almost as if someone else is signing players like Compper and Gamboa.

    If that’s the case then it should have been stated instead of all the smoke and mirrors. I said just last night regarding Sinclair that I preferred talk to stay in house. But in the situation of signing someone it’s only right to know if we are getting a player or a coach.
