A lovely glorious morning on my local patch with Ruby Boxer of course, half a dozen Wheatears passed through,i reeling Grasshopper Warbler was noted and a singing Lesser Whitethroat. Also the local pair of Peregrines called as they patrolled above, not to mention 3 Orange Tip Butterflies, they are a complete sign that Spring is in full swing:84:

My daughter has now got me watching Steve Irwin on YOUTUBE. I forgot how much of a legend the man was. Loved his shows when he was alive.
Also seen my first Housemartin of the year this morning.

I was lucky enough to see a female Sparrowhawk in my back garden yesterday . The first time I've seen one at all . I had to look up the bird on a website to determine what species it was . I saw a Red Squirrel at work today , and a Bumblebee . On my journey to work ( early morning ) over the last week or two , I've seen Oystercatchers , Partridges , Ducks on a busy road , and a solitary Hare .
There is still a patchwork of snow on the back hills .

WOOD WARBLER, superb mate. Love seeing them. Not seen one this year yet, but did see my first Roe Deer this morning. A group of about 5 Deer were standing in a field near Cambuslang Industrial Estate.
