    anyone ever tried it??

Got * off with my daughter constantly breaking her screen....3 times in a year. The last time i took it for repair the cowboys (not apple...* them!!) told me it was beyond repair!! They had actually changed screen for her but touch was not working.....gave us a refund but what i found out was that they had ripped a ribbon for the earpiece section when i opened it up.

Anyway, because i'm a stubborn git i refused to accept an expensive brick sitting there so ordered a screen and hey presto got a perfect display but touch still not working. I then hit youtube again and placed an old sim on top of the ribbons under the plate to hold them!!

It's working for the moment so time will tell. It's a 6 plus so it'll do me as i'm not bothered about phones really.

Anyone ever tried repair themselves as these repairs can mount up??

Never a problem I’ve had as I always buy a tech 21 case. Plenty of you tube videos for screen repairs. Tools for it pretty cheap.

Lets be honest, most of these * that charge anything from £50 to £150 to replace your screen don't have any training other than watching youtube videos and having a go at it then calling themselves specialists.

I hate wires and microchips and * like that so don't generally touch them, but I did it once on my old LG3 and it was absolutely spot on, only cost me £15 for materials and the plastic screen.

Totally agree guys.... these characters in malls are about 1/3 of apple prices though....BUT you get what you pay for I suppose.

Was quite amusing actually when I repaired screen myself and went back to them asking about if they would attempt a bent logic board fix.....* wasn’t amused I had replaced myself.......ha ha I’m looking at him going there goes your 500 pc mark up from me sunshine. Wouldn’t even look at it as probably only a job for a real techy. Anyway YouTube did the job so far with that sim fix.

Was really shocked it worked as I know fourth fifths of * all about these kinda things.

Would watch, the new iOS will stop any iPhone from working, if it’s had a screen replacement that’s not been done by apple themselves

How can a piece of software detect that?
