He's only going off of the rumours over the past week.

Been in the media that a 3 year deal to make him the highest paid player up here has been offered.

What would that be, £40k a week? Be good to hear if we're offering that sort of money, hope it's true.

I'd imagine it would around that ball-park. If we can get £20 million+ for Dembele in the summer then the increase the wage budget will be offset against that.

We should still have a reasonable pot available to the manager to strengthen the rest of the squad. If Edouard is a go-er then you're talking anything between £3-7 million for him, depending on conflicting reports, after that RB, CB and a back-up LB would be priorities. That's obviously dependent on any moves out eg. Armstrong, Boyata etc.

35-40k probably aye. Brown and Sinclair are on 30 roughly.

Won't count Musonda as he isn't ours.

Not seen him play in a few years but used to think he was a cracking player.

Hull manager can’t do a thing. Hernandez is out of contract in the summer, so he can sign a pre at anytime.

In the scheme of things it wouldn't even be that big an investment, as there'd be no transfer fee over a contract it would work out roughly the same as spending a few million to bring someone in on half the wages.

I went through a stage of really disliking him, however, with regards to Rangers at least, he's been pretty spot on with a lot of it recently. Releases so much information that appears in the press three or four days later as an 'exclusive'. Not sure about his record with Celtic related stuff though, didn't even realise he did any.

Griff, Edouard and Hernandez as our options would be great, Edouard is basically Moussa’s replacement and Hernandez has that speed and scoring ability that’d be great in Europe.

If we sold Dembele then the money received would more than cover the fee for Edouard and the salary for 3 top quality strikers for a year. At the age of 27 Hernandez will want more trophies than he has (Copa America 2011) so I think Celtic would be a club he would want to be at. He has a good international scoring record and I think an easy 20 plus goal scorer in the Scottish Premiership. This is one of those rumours you hope is true as this could be a big signing for Celtic.

Its not a game of football manager. A team in our situation needs to be financially responsible. Things can change quickly in football, especially with regard to finances.
30-40k a week is a serious amount of money for us to be paying out and if im being honest, id rather see that kind of cash being used for a quality etablished center back, which has been our problem area in the bigger european games.
