I actually think London would happily give away the North if it could get away with it being done cleanly and without issue. It’s Dublin that would probably need the most convincing.

I think Southerners as whole have to make more of an effort, not me obliviously but alot have never bothered to cross the border for anything else than cheap drink and fireworks, take an I'm alright Jack Southerner for a weekend in Derry or Belfast, make them see its their country too and it'll help alot I think.

I am sure i will see a united Ireland in my lifetime. Its written into the agreement we all signed up for that we have to have a referendum when the people want it. Eventually itll happen. Will i celebrate it, you bet your balls i will. Not only will i celebrate it, im sure ill let a few tears off aswell and this is coming from someone who has a heart of stone and hasnt cried much in my * life. Itll mean more to mean getting a united Ireland than watching Celtic win the champions league 5 years in a row. Once the people up north vote for it and realise how * up run country this is, they will be wanting to be british , esp anyone on the DLA with the nice new cars, jeeps and high rate money every week. Here you get a free bus pass and a phone line in.

I think there will. I think Brexit has acted almost like an accelerator for this. Many small n Nationalists were willing to live within the Union because they were comfortable with the no border situation and the fact that the GFA guaranteed their right to feel Irish within the North. I think when the current generation of Unionists begins to dissipate, and the Republican vote continues on its current trajectory that the status quo will change. One telling moment was Arlene Fosters declaration last week on Paddy Kielty,s BBC NI documentary "My dad the peace deal and me" , (its on the iplayer if any of our Scots brothers and sisters didnt see it) good watch. Anyway, what struck me was an almost look of inevitability on Fosters face, as if she kinda knew in her bones that she would be leaving NI if (when) it happened. And yes! I will celebrate! probably on the Andersonstown Road .

Hence the DUP are in the process of looking to redraw constituency boundaries across the North

The boundaries have to be redrawn due to a change in the number of seats. What has happened is the proposed change was not to the DUPs liking and they want it redone to enhance their numbers and keep their majority

I cant see it happening in my lifetime. The North will remain split enough that there will never be a consensus and I dont really see much enthusiasm from the South to make it happen.
