- Samoa Joe returns, cuts promo on Big Dog Roman and challenges him to a match at Backlash
- Jeff Hardy returns
- Matt Hardy/Bray debut as tag team, beat Titus World Wide in tag eliminator
- Finn, Seth and Jeff beat the Miztourage.

 

Watched the rest of WM last night and just saw the Raw highlights.

WM i'd give a 6 out of 10. Only matches i really really enjoyed were Rollins match, Charlotte, Daniel Bryan, Ronda and Undertaker.

Undertaker v Cena was poor but it was more just his return that i enjoyed. Credit to Cena for putting Taker over like that.

Raw was good. Happy to see Ember Moon, Joe, Lashley and Jeff.

Was a bit * imo

IC match was the best i thought, 2 women belts were good an kurt/ronda v triple h/steph suprisingly good, good to see cena put taker over hopefully thats Takers send off.
Felt let down wa styles/naka only good thing was the heel turn building up a good fued apart from bryan nothing else on SD

Rest was meh, last match was woeful

Was looking 4ward to Raw but checked the Results expected a lot more naw goin to bother even watching highlights

 

Seemed like even the crowd was fatigued last night, not the usual post-Mania Raw atmosphere imo.

Used to be Mania/Raw-Sunday/Monday was the perfect double-header of the year for wrestling, seems to be switching to NXT/Mania-Saturday/Sunday now, though. Takeover was the best show of the weekend.

Glad Joe and Jeff are back. Think Ember will do well. No Way Jose is destined to flop I reckon. I like AOP but we've seen Revival and Gallows/Anderson get buried in recent times on Raw, so I fear for them. Hard to feel too excited about 42 year old Lashley, never been his biggest fan.

Can see Andre Cien Almas debuting on Smackdown tonight, would be the best debut of the lot. Bryan/Almas filling the slots left by Owens and Zayn leaving.

"Shakeup" next week could be interesting. Charlotte defo moving back to Raw I can see, get her on the same show as Ronda for a year's build to them being the first women to main event Mania next year, think that's a pretty good idea (with a few strong semi-mains alongside them). Usos I can see also moving to Raw, they've feuded with everyone on Smackdown as much as they can at this point. Braun I'm thinking could head to Smackdown and get his first big title reign. Or maybe Finn to Smackdown as well, just been spinning his wheels on Raw for the last while.

 

I feel bad for Paige she's the same age as me and has had to retire from the business that she loves
Hope she can get her head sorted and make a decent career for herself

 

No Way Jose has been brought up to get the crowd going at house-shows you feel, which isn't a bad spot in fairness.

Lashley has improved so much in the last few years, he's been putting on some great matches in Impact for the past 3 years or so against the likes of Aries, Eric Young, Roode, Angle, EC3, Hardy, Galloway, etc. I thought WWE should have tried to get him back sooner as he's the absolute perfect opponent for Brock or Roman. Also has competed in MMA so that gives him a bit of legitimacy. Also the youtube video for his return is doing decent numbers. I'm really excited about him and some of the potential matchups he could have.

Don’t watch nxt so that tag and them leaving their manager didn’t really know what was happening

Ronda needs to stop treating every appearance like she’s a special guest, kills the mood when she’s out there looking like she won a contest

Yeah, fair point. Bit heavy on the makeup side of things.

 

Hopefully it'll be Bryan v Styles v Nakamura at Backlash.

 

I know they needed to get rid of the streak in order to open up creative options for asuka.

But it annoys me when they do stuff like that only for Charlotte to then drop the title the next day.
