Bought f final fantasy zodiac age the other day cause a want to get in to rpgs . Been a bit overwhelmed with how much is going on and go finding it hard. I've bought a few games like this in the past but after a get a hard quest or enemy a end up never playing it again. Dont want to do it with this one cause a think al love rpgs if a can get into them.

Im near the starr of the game and everytime am near an enemy a get desteoyed. Av tried many strategies and staying away from enemy but naw eveytime am dead in under 2 mins. Was gonnae watch youtube but makes the game a bit boring tbh.

Is it best to do side quests first, go out and kill easy enemy to level up? Just looking for some tips on how to play the game tbh

Exactly what to do mate it takes time to level up but side quests and easy kills are the way to go,patience is the key with these games haha.

FFXII probably isn't the best one for a newcomer to get into, but you've got the right idea. Go out to either the Dalmasca Westersand or Estersand (can't remember which one the first missions sends you to) and just farm XP from easy enemies like the Wolf.

A simple trick for newcomers with most RPG's is to make sure you level up around 5 levels above the enemies you're fighting in quests, that way you won't be OP so much that it's boring but will give you some leeway as you get to learn the system and your preferred style.
