    The squad:

Buffon - Arguably the greatest goalie ever. A huge, yet calm, presence marshalling the back 4 and being an absolute giant in between the sticks.
Berti Vogts - Illustrious, trophy laden career for this world class right back.
Nemanja Vidic -The first defender to win two EPL POTS awards and only the third player overall. An excellent stopper who perfectly complements my other cb.
Cesare Maldini - An excellent reader of the game, winning 4 Serie A's and one European Cup. His son Paolo may be the more famous name now, but make no mistake, Maldini Snr is regarded as one of Italy's best ever defenders.
Ruud Krol - An excellent technical and versatile player, he's one of the best defenders of all time. A key member of the legendary Ajax side than won 3 European Cups.

Didier Deschamps - Multiple CL winner, World Cup winner, Euro Champs winner, several league titles. His CV speaks for itself and every team needs a strong defensive midfielder.
Paulo Roberto Falcao - Technically brilliant and composed, Falcao was blessed with incredible ability on the ball. He is a deep lying playmaker who will be the conductor of the orchestra, in this team.
Gheorge Hagi - One of football's ultimate flair players. Made a habit of making players as good as Roberto Carlos look like mugs. A scorer of great goals and more creativity than you can shake a stick at.

Lionel Messi - The indisputable, best player ever, by some distance.
Ronaldinho - So good he could do things most of us can't even do on the playstation, all while wearing that trademark massive smile.

Jimmy McGrory - 550 goals, 547 appearances. He's up there with Pele, Muller and Puskas as a goalscorer. He'd be worth a world record transfer fee in today's game.

Overall, happy with the team tbh considering how many times I was pipped to other players:56:Defence is particularly strong with a strong core of Italians which always helps. Breitner is the most attack minded player back there and would play like Tierney does for us, while also being able to shift into midfield and allow the other 3 to form a back 3 of CB's. Bergomi obviously comfortable at both RB and CB.

Midfield has strength and running power in both Haan and Murdoch, two of the finest allround midfielders of the 60's and 70's respectively. Zizinho isn;t as well known as Rivellino, Zico etc but Pele named him as his 'inspiration' growing up as a child. Still holds the record for most COPA America goals. A number 10 with great flair and dribbling ability.

Forward line has one of the finest ever goalscorers in Greaves, someone who perhaps isn't picked as often as he should be in these drafts IMO, his goal to game ratio is unreal. Georgey Best is probably the standout player in the whole side. Goals, flair and an incredible knack in getting his hole. The perfect footballer. McGhee I'm actually not that unhappy with in comparison to some of the other sheep:56: Still a player who played for us and Aberdeen in their most successful ever period. Not the worst I could have been lumped with.

David De Gea in goal. For me the best modern goalkeeper around

3 French players across the back line all with great pace and an eye for goal. They like to get forward so would be allowed to roam at times while centre mids cover when required

Central midfield Keane and scholes. Played together their most of their professional careers winning numerous league titles and dominated in Europe under alex Ferguson, scholes lifting big ears twice and Keane the once. Nothing much got past Keane able to drop back and help out defence when needed while also giving scholes the space in the centre of the park to get the ball forward with his wonderful eye for a pass.

Nedved and Beckham on the wings.

Nedved’s personal trophy cabinet must take plenty of dusting, as it is full to bursting. Six Czech Republic Golden Ball awards, four Czech Player of the Year, one Serie A Footballer of the Year, one Serie A Foreign Footballer of the Year, three UEFA Team of the Year, two ESM Team of the Year (European Sports Magazine), Pele’s FIFA 100, Euro 2004 Team of the Tournament, Golden Foot, and the prestigious Ballon d’Or (European Footballer of the Year).

    David Beckham

He enjoyed amazing success for Manchester United alongside Keane and scholes and became the first British player to be celebrated as a champion in four different countries. He may sound like a poof when he talks but you don’t earn the nickname golden balls unless you got something about you.

    Suarez Hughes and Robben.

Tonnes of energy up front. Suarez and Robben running relentlessly at any defence with their trickery, neat passing and devastating ability to put the ball in the net. Over 400 goals scored between them and just as many assists. Picking up league titles in Spain Germany and England (Robben back to back winner with Chelsea)

Mark Hughes leading the line. He won a host of winners' medals during his playing career, including 2 premier league 4 games cups and 2 European cup winners cups. Career playing at Barcelona Bayern Munich and Man Utd. Also played 2 games in one day for Bayern Munich and later an international game for wales.

    Happy enough with this team.

    Sheer Class

    15538150-2BC0-46DF-9166-4446ED76E1CB.jpeg

At the back we have a World Cup winning centre-back partnership in Desailly and Blanc. Accompanying Desailly and Blanc are two classic Italian full-backs; Facchetti will be bombing forward at any opportunity to support the attack - with Cruyff drifting inside; Tassotti will be a bit more reserved and will tend to stay back to support the defensive side of the game.

Xabi Alonso will be our deep-lying-midfielder and will spend most of his time dictating and breaking up play in front of Desailly and Blanc; Lampard will be our box-to-box.
Out wide we’ll have Garrincha who will play as an out-and-out winger; Cruyff will have a free role and will more often than not tuck inside allowing Facchetti to bomb forward and join in attacks.

Upfront we have the greatest No.9 of all time in Ronaldo; Partering Ronaldo we have one of the best strikers in World Football right now in Cavani, a real team-player, works his * off every game and is a goal machine to boot.
