couldnt find a thread but delete or merge if one exists.

What exactly is this guy being paid to do? Our defence is and has been a shambles, did he get the gig out of sympathy?
Bring back lennon to work alongside rodgers, i dont think he would mind you, but he seemed to have a bit of tactical nous when setting up against the bigger sides in europe.

    * knows what he or anyone else is telling the defence but it clearly isn’t working.

Personally not putting any blame at Kennedy's door, he's not the problem.

In times of strife it always seems to come back to this.

Always hear this after we have few bad results why is what is john kennedy doing here or still at the club .when ronny left and collins he was kept on .I think the reason he was kept on and believe eventually when Brenden moves on John Kennedy is going to be the next Celtic manager

They can’t take control of Simunovic or Lustig and stop them from making those mistakes in the first or third goal.

That's true, but can they not try an ensure that these mistakes don't keep happening ?

Lack of concentration, ball watching, basic passing etc etc ......

Think you learn all that in School though. Like we are sitting here saying how obvious it is and we just watch on Tv. There’s almost nothing the coaches can do now for a guy like Lustig when it comes to individual mistakes.

John Kennedy isn’t ‘the defensive coach’ btw. He’s just a general coach.

I'm not really talking about specific incidents like last night but our overall defensive performance in europe this season we've looked completely * with players not organised at all in regards to set pieces and how to deal with balls over the top, that's the coaches job to make them more organised or to tell the manager that their not good enough and we need better.

I don't think our defensive frailties are down to the coaching, it's individual mistakes and lapses in concentration during the game that is costing us, nowt a coach can do about that tbh. Just need a bit more focus from the guys during games.

There is an issue with the coaching at some level because our defending simply isn’t good enough on a consistent basis for the standard of defenders we have.

Hard to pick out a coach though as we don’t see what goes on at the training ground. I remember people moaning about Kennedy (I was actually one of them) when we were conceding goals left right and centre under Deila but no one ever singled him out for his contribution when we went invincible last season, which is totally unfair really.

The way I see it is the manager, coaches and players win and lose together as a collective, and last night none of them were good enough.
