Need a new cat converter for my exhaust. Guy at the garage recommended ordering it myself as it would be cheaper and then they would just charge an hour labour to fit it for me. Apparently the part will cost about £500-£600 :99:

The guy I spoke to had the same problem on his car and it cost him around £1100 to fix. He recommended a website who are open today according to their website but no answer. Was going to phone around a few places to compare prices but either the ones I have phoned are closed at the weekend or they just don’t have the part.

Anyone know of any good car part suppliers? I definitely want a new part instead of second hand/refurbished . Saw the part I need for £500 on eBay and that was second hand!!

Car is driveable at the moment but he didn’t recommend driving it down the road for the game on Thursday.

just put your items into the basket and go to checkout, it'll tell you then were the discount has been taken off or not.

First problem I have had with the car and I have had it for two and a half years now. * expensive first problem too.

Guy at the garage said that I was very unlucky that it was the cat converter and not the DPF. The DPF is a lot cheaper from what I have heard.

    Thanks for the suggestion guys.

Eurocar parts was the first place that popped into my head.

Phoned up my local branch earlier but no luck. They sell cat converters but they don’t have one for my car unfortunately.

Honda’s are great cars. My dad has owned 2 civics and never had any problems with them at all.

Hondas are bullet proof. My missus got hers at 35k miles and took it to 140k and it never had a single mechanical issue. She never took decent care of it either. Only thing was it could use a bit of oil but supposedly the vtec engines are known for that.

If it wasnt for my yearly drop link change at mot time the 8 years iv had my honda iv only had 1 problem. A dodgy caliper. I want the new shape but cant bring myself to change its just too good tbh. When it finally says goodbye with a huge bill ill get a new one.
