Imagine the size of this thread if we were actually doing something.

 

If you were to extend that logic to the management, scouting, players, coaches, physios it would basically end every discussion on this forum.

Criticism as long as it's constructive can surely only be a good thing?

 

I thought this window was going to be different but naw! Same old Alloa always cheating.

 

A boy I work with is a Dundee fan and he was telling me that the likes of Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Southampton and West Ham are all sending scouts up tonight to watch Jack Hendry. Not saying he should be the player we should be aiming for but if he was indeed a target and we end up missing out on him because we’ve been too slow it’ll probably sum this window up.

I dont understand why people defend so lively these rich *. Lawwell, granted, overpaid as * but is someone that actually does a job at Celtic. What Desmond actually does for Celtic other than smear our name by dodging tax and receiving millions in dividends?

DD has done wonders for the club. Since his involvement in Celtic we've went from a mid-table club being ravaged by the Whites & Kellys within hours of being closed to the biggest team in the country, a domestic juggernaut with a 60,000 seater stadium, training complex and regular European football.

DD has ushered in an era of success unparalleled other than the Lisbon Lions. I don't agree with everything he has done but to discredit the positives of his time is a bit silly.

 

Will do one in any case, but will wait to the end of the window.. when the figures can be properly analysed.

 

My mate works as youth coach for Celtic, he was told last night that
Dembele is signing for stoke in exchange for cash and Bojan. If nothing else it’s a rumour.

Im hearing Aberdeen star, Yerdäs Elssävon is looking for a loan move.

 

This is a bit silly mate when the manager that just won an invincible treble is saying Dermot Desmond had a big role in him coming here.

Also, I would doubt anyone hearing the name 'Celtic' immediately thinks, 'Ah, the crooked tax dodging club with the dodgy Chairman.' I think you're getting us mixed up with someone else.

 

Desmond was part of the reason we were saved in the 90’s, he was a big part of the reason we sailed through one of the biggest ever financial reccessions relatively freely, he underwrote Lennoxtown and under his stewardship we have witnessed one of the most prolific trophy winning periods of our existence.

He’s done ok for me.

Think only thing stopping us getting other players in is none of our regular team players is /has left ,revolving door = we only buy when we lose one , wages have increased for players who did the treble ,we are close to our wage budget and if we buy a better quality and no one has left ,instead of 40 k wage add the player who's position he has taken to that and and it becomes a cb position costing us 65k .
This is the way our club operates ,commper comes in Eric leaves ,we are a tight ship and the only thing I will say to that way is ,in a storm you have to flex and move or you break up ,it's not always the best policy ,sometimes yoI need to push the boat out .

 

Not that I am expecting any signings i wonder what Brendan will say tomorrow still working away on 1 player....

 

Apparently he is being recalled because of lack of game time. Not sure if that’s true.

 

Why would that matter to stoke they want rid of him not as if he is an Edouard or a roberts

 

Transfer windows are a nightmare we know that we need strenthening in areas but the club seems to take an eternity to do deals plus we are linked with allsorts most never even on our radar but its the ones that we miss out on because the price is 500k more than we are willing to pay
