I am astounded by the support here to sign McGinn:31:
watched him very closely this season and not impressed - he's not even the best player at Hibs most weeks and out of his depth for Scotland.
If he wasn't linked with us I would struggle to pick him out from the rest.

Runs about a lot, has minimal technique, passing is average, slow - a player like him based purely on effort will not improve much.

Pleeeease don't compare him with Broon - they are so far apart it's not true.

    Brendan, don't do it!!

Is there actually anything new on this or people just discussing it?

The thread came alive again after the Edinburgh derby at the weekend and he was pretty poor.

I think he's a good reader of the game and a good ball winner buy after Brown we have Kouassi and I think from.what I've seen of him, he has more potential.
Leave him at his and watch him, keeps the league healthy unless he goes down south.

Played well, Brown worked harder than he probably has all season to close down their midfield, can tell Brown likes to play against him as McGinn also tries to grab games by the scruff of the neck and lead the game and Brown doesnt like to be upstaged.

He'd be easy to work with and the kid can run all day. Looking around i think it's one of the best deals going. Throw out the two teams from yesterday and stick Scott Brown in the Hibs side and McGinn in the Celtic side, who wins? Stick them both in the same team and what's the worse thing that can happen? Think that's what worries sevco and hence why i think it's totally relevant and imperative we bring him in now, when his form's dipped a wee bit and i'd rather give money to Hibs' than Dundee and their "billy boys"

Kouassi is a much better player, from what I’ve seen.

Thought mcgeough played better than him, thought brown schooled him and think kouassi has a lot more potential and is 4 years younger. Wouldn’t be wanting to sign him especially for the money hibs would want

Possibly how Rodgers put kouassi on, basically saying to the fans geez peace, we have better here struggling to get in the team.
Point proven, I like McMinn but we actually don't need him to sit on the bench for 5m.

Dont get it. Everyone here is moaning "bring us qaulity to improve us"

At the same time "bring us, no even as good as scott allan, mccginn cos hes a celt!"

I want qaulity. Not hibs players that are not even the teams best player.

Didn't see him as remotely better than we have yesterday. McGregor was hardly going to give him any problems in his current form.
