I'm thankful the big lad came to us to experience CL football. He never hid his desire to move on eventually. We can't now get annoyed that his head is turned with all the speculation. That was the deal and in return we should pocket 20 million transfer fee. That is a big amount of money for any club. If he goes I wish him well. He deserves respect for getting us a good piece of business. Just imagine how Fulham feel in all this.

If he goes, I'm starting to wonder if he thinks playing in a stronger league will help him get a call up to the French squad for the World Cup.

Well without CL money we make a £8m - £12m loss each season based on current expenditure and cash.

While not quite on the Gary Hooper scale of delusion, I think that'd be over-estimating his chances a bit.

With Lacazette, Griezhman, Mbappe, Lemar, Gamiero, Fekir, Giroud, Ousmane Dembele, Thauvin all ahead of him I can't see how he'd make the current French squad.

Honestly couldn't give a toss if we sold him now, he's been worse than a man short this season, and I think as soon as he started coming out with the whole "Dembelition" *, that's when I knew he thought he'd hit the billy big time and would be looking to move to England (probably).

Dembele last season was more than worth the £30m quoted, but this season he's been more like the £500k player we signed.

If we got offered £20m tomorrow I'd drive him to whatever club offered it.

    @LectersLuncheon

without CL money our turnover is £56m - £62m with CL money it’s £90m.

Expenditure less the £14m added to reserves is £59m last season.

Last year would have seen us break even or as close to that as possible.

If expenditure was to continue to rise you would be looking at an loss maybe £8m to £12m is being a bit over zealous in calculations but it would be a loss without CL money no doubt without money added to resverves but since we are in the CL for this years accounts this arguement is for a season when we aren’t in it!

Also @LectersLuncheon in 2015/16 accounts we only made a profit due to selling VVD and accruing his fee into the accounts or it could have been an £11m loss!

There's no sum of money we could realistically get for him that I'd sell him for. We dont reinvest it and our after tax profit never scored a hat trick against the Huns or 6 goals in the champions league.

But if he does want to leave that's a different story and I wish him well. Hes going to be amazing wherever he goes. I hope that place is here still the end of season atleast.

I agree with you mate, but that could be what he's thinking and tbh, proving himself in a stronger league will boost his (slim) chances.

Can't argue with that. If he moves to the EPL and tears it up for 6 months, I'll be livid after his start to this season.

Fitbaw gospel claiming a £22m fee rising to £30m with addons has been agreed with Crystal palace. Everton and a couple of other clubs looking to hijack the deal though. Also claiming a 15% sell on fee.

If anywhere near correct I'd bite their hand off

If we can sell him and get him back till the end of the season I’d be more than happy. Won’t happen though, someone will sign him to make an instant impact. I’ll miss him.
