Asked about the Subotic link, Wagner answered: “I know Neven. I know him very well.

“He is a great guy, a very good character and a very good player as well, but everyone knows in the centre-back position we have no pressure or problems.

“Maybe I can cancel this now for the rest of the window. We have done our business.

“I am not in the market. Even if I have my eye on the market, I am very happy with the players we have, the group we have.

Haven't seen him in years, was brilliant for around 3 seasons alongside Hummels.

Couldn't tell you what he is like now, honestly.

Subotic is a weird one, thought he was one of the best defenders about a few year back.

The last thing we need is another injury prone centre half.

    He’s injury prone but he’d a * unreal signing.

The only chance we have to get players of his quality is because of injury problems.

Think I mentioned these two in the summer but would love it if we tried to get Leo Dubois (RB at Nantes) and Jonathan Bamba (Winger/CF at St Ettiene) on pre contracts.

Dubois is basically a right sided KT. Got some engine in him and been captaining Nantes since at least last season, only 23 and can provide cover at LB as well.

Bamba is a French u21. Dunno if we've maybe missed the boat with him cause he's having a really good season so far but maybe Ntcham and Moussa can tempt him. Can play on either wing or up front on his own. Rapid as * and chips in with his share of goals and assists.

Would love if we got Forster back. Not playing for Southampton again today. Convinced he would get back to his best if he came back.

    It won’t happen though :55:

    That's an interesting one actually...

He seems to have fallen off a bit in the last year or so. You would assume he would want to stay in England but that could also mean dropping down to the Championship which would hurt his England hopes (tho I think that ship has sailed anyways). Playing UCL football under Brendan Rodgers could still have a ring to it...

They would be demanding around 10-12m. No chance of us paying that..

I would doubt that tho... a second string keeper whose been off it for a season, I doubt they'd be asking that much, if with the atrocious prices teams are paying. If he was available at £6-8M... I think it's something the club should definitely consider. Not saying he's the best option or the best buy overall (Robin * Olsen), but we know what he can do.

As you say, BPL clubs demand a premium for their players. With Forster's pedigree, I personally think 10m would be a realistic fee..

Would prefer Frederik Rønnow in Brøndby tbh. He's kept 8 clean sheets and let in 18 in 19 matches. The man is a human wall and only 25 y/o. I think he would cost around £5M.

Haven't seen him much, so can't really comment. I've seen Olsen a few times and I'd * love him here. Would command a decent fee (for us) but has experience in Europe and European qualifiers, is a proven international, and has played for pressure clubs his whole career. All of this, and he's still only 27 which is young for a keeper. Should be all over him IMO.

Forster's kicking is gash and I don't see him as the type for Rodgers, if he is shifting CG.
