Yes given the season he has had and his age I would be surprised if he did not move on in the January window. If he does will Dundalk get a decent fee this time as they got * all when Towell moved to Brighton?

Yes that was the case with Towell. The problem for LOI clubs is because of the perilous state of clubs finances contracts tend to be short term and because he is now past the 23 age when development compensation must be paid like Towell I fear Dundalk won't get much if any money for him assuming he leaves after the season is done.

 

Yep most LOI players seem to be on very short contracts. Is his contract up this season? One thing is for certain Dundalk defo got value for their money and some..Not too many in Dundalk would begrudge him if he got a nice deal across the water..

 

no they wont get a shilling he is available on a free, so I am led to believe. Towell is gettin maybe at least 4 times what he was on at dundalk, I think he is looking for a loan move at the moment.

Spotted a couple of my mates in there haha.. As I said before, these lads will not be attending Dayler and I cant blame them to be honest, Shels are on the brink.. Irish football has a lot to do with local identity IMO and Shels in Phibsboro wont work, especially not for these lads who by and large are the only ones who turn up anymore. As much as I dislike Shels I do feel sorry for their fans, * state of affairs, to think not so long ago they were playing Deprtivo La Coruna for a place in the Champions League.....Take note Dundalk FC...

Congrats to Dundalk on winning a third straight title and 12th in total. What an impressive season they have had so far and of course with 4 points from their first three group games in the Europa League they still might even make it out of the group stages. Plus have a chance for a double as they are in the FAI Cup Final as well.

 

Cork beating Drogheda 4-0 inside 25 mins and just had another disallowed!

 

Almost half way through the season now and credit to the Leesiders still unbeaten and really no way Dundalk or anybody is going to catch them for the title this season. The more interesting race this season will be at the bottom of the table where 3 teams get relegated out of 12 and only one promoted to reduce the top flight to 10 teams and increase the first division to 10 teams.
