    To say Ireland have a lack of quality up front is quite the understatement. I mean it is crazy how bad we are in the attacking department. Murphy clearly gave his all but lets be real he is not and never was a top quality striker. He played 33 times for us scoring 3 goals 2 of them against Moldova in the last World Cup campaign. An honest pro but not exactly quality at the top level to say the least.

    He's the best manager we could possibly get, he's been nothing short of a miracle worker since he took the job. Last 16 of the Euros, got us to the play-offs for the world cup and got us wins over Germany, Italy and a win in Wales (a team who were semi-finalists in France). Not sure what people expect, we've got a few decent players and a lot of average ones who punch above their weight a lot of the time when putting on the green jersey.

    Wish I could disagree but I cannot at all. This Ireland squad has very little talent that is anything above average at the top level. We have some decent players sure but not a single genuine world class player which for most of my life Ireland has always had. Our best player IMHO is Seamus Coleman and while he certainly is a good player that is it really when it comes to our squad and players who are good players at the highest level. On top of the lack of talent overall there is the issues in particular up front where our backlines talent looks like an abundance of riches by comparison with what we have available up front which is pretty much the square root of * all.
