Simply not sustainable...and no guarantee of success either. Duffers arrive in England every season for those sort of fees.

3-4 quality players who could go straight into the team immediately and aren't longer term project signings is what I'm after.

GK, RB, CB and LW are be priorities in my opinion.

Definitely no guarantee of success whatever the price, I do agree we do need proven players, at whatever cost, and a high profile signing to show the clubs ambition would give everyone a much needed boost.

 

I'd sit both goalkeepers down and say that your looking to bring in a potential number 1, hopefully January but maybe the summer. You'd be happy with either as back up or to push the new guy for number 1. But one of the current two keepers will be away come the summer.

With both Gamboa and lustig at the Wc and only ralston to cover for the qualifiers and also it's fair to say question marks over both lustig and Gamboa a new first choice right back is a must.

We have brought in a centre back already that can also play left back. So that's great to have cover for KT because he's playing too many games and needs a rest. Along with our new German we have Ajer and boyata. Looks like both simunivoc and Erik will leave. Personally I'd move on biton too, and with question marks over boyata going forward, I'd like another top centre half in.

As said I'd sell biton, I'd also sell Armstrong and release Henderson and bring in another number 10. Someone to not just push rogic (I really like tam) but also take his place in the big games, calmac isn't a number 10 at champions league level.

With paddy injured and only on loan, and Hayes injured long term, and Sinclair form patchy this season, we are relaying a lot on jamsey and I worry that bubble could burst. So we need another winger to take pressure of him, so I'd give loan time to both benyu and Johnstone and bring in another winger.

Dembele will be leaving this window or next and we need to prepare for that.

As you know Paul contracts sometimes aren't worth the paper they are written on.

I think Brendan was giving them the security and hoping it will bring out continued improvement in Craig, but to move up a level we need a better number one capable of playing Brendan's style

So why would Gordon go on a free then if he signed a new deal, surely worth at least 1m. also not sure anyone would pay 3m for Biton, other estimates seem to be bang on

 

CELTIC can confirm that Regan Hendry has joined League One side Raith Rovers on a Development Loan until the end of the season.

The young midfielder has been a regular for the Hoops’ second-string for several seasons and he scored twice for the Bhoys in this season's UEFA Youth League campaign.

The 19-year-old, who featured for Brendan Rodgers’ side in their pre-season friendly against Olympique Lyonnais, will be looking to continue his development by garnering competitive first-team experience at Starks Park.

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Joe Thomson has moved to Championship side, Queen of the South on an Emergency Loan.

It will be the 20-year-old’s second stint with the Doonhamers after he spent the second half of last season with them.
