In what way were we fortunate to win 3-0 against Anderlecht?

scotland and scottish football lives in the dark ages mate

in the 50s and 60's even a bit of the 70's we played proper football none of this anti football pish

then we were took over by this defeatist anti football brigade that thought lets play everyone behind the ball and stop the opposing team getting through us it caught fire this horrible excuse for football

we cant compete lets stop them scoring brigade started

you'll not get this in the countries of europe at least not to the extent it is like here

in europe most teams open up to one another that doesnt happen here, its you have the ball we have everyone back behind it

im 47 but there were changes in league setup in the 70's where we went from 18 team 1st division to a 10 team premier division where we played each team 4 times in the league that was the death nell in my opinion as it tried to create a number of big billy baws big clubs in scotland when there realistically were only 2 and keep the money in the bigger clubs pockets denying the money to the smaller clubs

    Yes.

I replied with a question because the question you asked was pretty silly.

Considering I stated at the end of my post "It's not just a Rodgers thing" which, to any sensible person, would suggest that it's a problem Rodgers (and others) have had...

At end of day we are a massive club with a massive fan base , unfortunately we come from a small country with a small population which makes for a less competitive league, before sky and rich oil barons took over Europe was a fairly level playing ground, now we have to play an extra qualifying game next year so5th place teams from bigger leagues can get into champions league personally I'd tell them to * off , play a European league with the smaller leagues like Dutch Belgium Danish . Norwegian Austrian and all the other smaller countries, let them play there last 16 top5 English Spanish German and some other team every year.

Thank you! Most appreciated, yes, we've secured Europa, we can still sneak in the CL group stages if we beat Barcelona and if Olympiakos beats Juventus, but that's a rather tall order, lol.

Rat boys 2nd goal was serious amount of skill with the ball tied at his feet. Hateful wee snide *. Alves last goal was a cracker. PSG is unplayable and it is not fair enough. No competition just like us with Hamilton. But this is on a stellar level and with the Saudis involved, owning a football team is great for moving cash. (All above board):fear:

cant remember what game it was , it was in Europe tho, the " Silent Assassin " tackled a player and he landed in the Jungle, we helped him back onto the pitch ,, lo and behold he jumped back into the Jungle , saying was safer in here than on the park.

its a non contact sport now , and we cant play the old way, sometimes i wish we could

I agree, pity nearly every defender he comes up against knows he wants to cut inside :87:

He did make a lot of good runs tonight. Quite a few times he had their defence on the back foot. Pity nothing came out of it. Definitely our best player by quite some distance.

Who do you think will stop them?
Man City seem like the only capable side at the minute
