Going to be a long * month.

Never even heard of that, whats the logic behind one pay day out of a month? Supposed to be better tax wise or just easier to get out of the way for your employer?

running through my head is why is it called a boxing ring and not a boxing square?

    * * * who call their bru day 'pay day'. No it's * not, pay is earned.
The local spar I use has it well sussed. Walk in and the post office is in the corner, right next to the off license.
Then on your way out is the fegs and scratch cards.
So it's usually the same wasters in picking up their free money, then buying a few cheap bottles of cider, then over to get a packet of fegs, then a few scratch cards.
Not a bit of grub or cleaning products in site ffs
Always * me off that people who genuinely deserve it, and the old folk picking up their pension has to que with said wasters. You can literally see their embrassement.

Seriously... back in the day they used to 'box' in a circle. :)

No sure but 'Queensberry Rules of Boxing' were written up/invented in a mansion house just outside Lockerbie back in the day after a local hill called Queensberry

...before those rules were made, it was 'bare Knuckle' fighting, which was fought in a circle.
But when these rules got made/came into effect(i think), it was then that the box appeared.

"the only question running through my head is why is it called a boxing ring and not a boxing square?"

I was just thinking back to original boxing matches, not when it became a "gentleman's sport" as such.
Hence the 'ring' got carried over. :)

Because when you're on benefits you're no going to do your big shop in a Spar. You're going to go to a supermarket that doesn't come the * with its prices. Scratch cards cost the same everywhere.

It's a big spar and a fair few round here do their shop in it as they don't give a * about prices, tends to happen when you ain't earned it. but If they spent more of their money on food and cleaning products instead of swall, fegs, scratch cards for themselves and a cans of red bull/boost for the kids
ah * gonna end up a rant so will leave it there as it * me off tbh
