Not getting my hopes up for more than 4 or 5, I know anderlecht aren't near the level of the other teams but they're far from *, some folk seem to think 6 from 2 against them will be easy.

 

5 for me. Draws at home to Bayern and PSG. WIn at home against Anderlecht. Probably lose the 3 away games if im honest though decent chance away to Anderlecht for a draw I suppose.

I think 4-6 points, but since I had to choose, I went for 4 as the more likely.
Anderlecht will be no pushovers but IF we play like we can, we can beat them at home. After that we have 5 rolls of the dice.


If you consider the games individually, we have no right to anything against PSG or Bayern or even away to Anderlecht, but the way BR has us playing, I'll be pretty surprised if we don't get lucky in at least one of those 5 games (anybody's guess which). Hence 4-6 points.

Will it be enough for 3rd? That is the question for me.

 

I'd very much imagine 4-6 points would be enough for 3rd.

I'd even say 3 points could be enough for 3rd ensuring we better our H2H with Anderlecht.

It would feel like such a sucker punch if Anderlecht were to get a victory against PSG/Barca. Imagine how deflated Anderlecht would be if we got a result against PSG in our first match!

 

Three or 4, I'd be happy with anything more than 4 and at least one win, please. Just hope there aren't any embarrassing scorelines.

 

My mate asked me this last night and I said.......

6 points at home from the other two *!
12 points and into the last 16!!!

Hoping for at least four points, but I'm pessimistic. PSG and Bayern will put us on our backs home and away being the world class teams that they are. If we get one point from one of these two I would be more than happy. Anderlecht will be in the same situation as us and aim for the knockout phase in EL. These two matches will be extremely important for us and we need to win home and at least a draw away. We all know how hard it is to take points away, so I'm not expecting anything. Our attack is mint and could score on anyone on their day, but our defense are shambles compared to the top teams in Europe. We're leaking heavily when up against teams who put us under constant pressure.

Win at home v anderlecht and draw away with them. Draw at home v munich and beat psg at home.

 

After last season's surprisingly spirited performances, and the improvement in the team since then, I honestly can't say. I think we are definitely picking up at least 3 points at Celtic Park, almost certainly against Anderlecht. In the other 5 games I don't want to be too pessimistic, but I'd be happy with 1 point, possibly 2. Just gotta hope we don't lose in Belgium, and that Anderlecht don't pull off anything against the other two. European football after Christmas in either competition would be * delightful.

 

I said 4 which feels optimstic.

I think we will be favourites to beat anderlecht at home as long as there is something to play for in the last game. Of the others I think we may sneak a point somewhere but I would be amazed if we managed two wins in the group.

 

Nine and after two games we will have a six point start on PSG which will make things interesting.

 

Always have a feeling these kind of threads are going to jinx us.

 

I think 8 pts isn't outwith realms of possibility if we can make Celtic Park a fortress again. Prob still wouldn't be enough to see us through to last 16

I'd be happy to take 5pts, that would hopefully be enough to see a bit Europa league action.

saying all that though, I'm just happy we are there after negotiating those bastarding qualifiers. Nothing beats Celtic Park rocking on a champs league night

 

I see us winning against PSG and Anderlecht at home. The away game against Anderlecht is a toss up, but if we get a draw I think that will do to see us into the Europa League. 6-7 points I'll say. We aren't going to get * from Bayern, and PSG away I just don't fancy us getting a decent result.

Think we will surprise everyone on day 1 with a win against PSG, and the final match day against Anderlecht is going to be the game of the season.
