Be Here Now by Oasis came out 20 years ago yesterday, been listening to that a lot. Very underrated and probably my favourite album from them. So many amazing tunes, best songs IMO being Dyou Know What I Mean, Magic Pie, Stand By Me, The Girl In The Dirty Shirt, Be Here Now and All Around The World [IMG]

I wouldn't exactly say I despise Dylan, he was an excellent song-writer in his pomp, but I always felt that his perceived radical nature and importance to US counter-culture were all just a facade to sell more records, as best captured in this scene from D.A Pennebaker's documentary:

Although that clip did lead to the Chumbawamba classic, and a personal favourite:

Which pretty much sums up how I always felt about Dylan; protest for profit.

'The Hurricane' is probably my favourite Dylan song too, for what it's worth.

It wouldn't surprise me.He's a crusty voiced old fraud. It's bonkers that he's still held up as some sort of champion of human rights.

The man is a self-proclaimed Zionist.

'Neighborhood Bully' is just disgusting..an infuriating piece of historical revisionism and propaganda.

On first listen this will definitely be up there with my favourites from this year. Blissful 70s/80s guitar rock made for driving in the sunshine.

I was just about to post that. It's not a band I've followed, but it has a great sound.

I see they are at the Barrowlands soon. The Friday has sold out, but still Thursday tickets. It's 9th and 10th Nov.
