Will likely end up in with Madrid, PSG and spurs

Congrats to @Celticfc qualifying for the Champions League group stage. So important for Scottish teams to be competing with Europe's best.

Even Porto is no slouch. They did sell off Andres Silva this window and haven't replaced him with anyone of that caliber (yet), but they also always manage to do well in CL. I can't remember them doing worse than 3rd in GS and I am pretty sure the one recent season they didn't make CL was the year they won EL.

That said, ya I'd probably still take them over anyone else in Pot 2.

I'm assuming Championship sides get a share of the SFA's non-participating club solidarity payments? ;)

That's what I was wondering it is only Premierships team or all Scottish sides playing in the SPFL?

I can't see Liverpool losing tomorrow so it looks like pot 4 again.
    * it, still fancy our chances of getting at least third, unless we get absolutely shafted again in the draw...surely we're due an easier one?!

Here's how I'd view our potential opponents.

    Pot 1:
    Real Madrid
    - Avoid. Would be nice to see the world's best play in CP, but we'd be hammered home and away.
Bayern - Avoid. Couldn't see us getting anything off them. * the glamour.
Chelsea - I'd rather avoid but would be an interesting tie.
Juventus - Again, couldn't see us getting much here. Would rather avoid.
Benfica - Could probably see us taking a point, or maybe 3, if we're lucky, at home.
Monaco - Their team has been stripped down since last year, still a lot of talent there but could see us taking something over 2 games.
Spartak Moscow - Probably the easiest tie, Not inconceivable to see us taking 4 points off them.
Shakhtar Donetsk - As above, could take 4 points off them with a couple of barnstorming performances.

    Pot 2:
    Barcelona
    - Just naw. Not again
Atlético - Avoid, could maybe hope for a point at home, at best.
PSG - No thanks. Don't wanna see that wee * Neymar in CP again.
Dortmund - The only "glamour" tie I'd be happy to see. Tough games but 2 of the best sets of fans in the world.
Sevilla - My 2nd preference after Porto, strong team but could see us snatching something over the 2 games.
Manchester City - * off. No interest in playing them again.
Porto - First preference! Probably the weakest team in the pot. Still a tough one.
Manchester United - Avoid. They're coming good now. Wouldn't fancy our chances of getting much.

    Pot 3:
    Napoli
    - Avoid. Toughest team in the pot, imo.
Tottenham - Fun tie, but would rather an easier one.
Basel - Don't know much about them recently tbh. Not as intimidating as some other names though so I'd be satisfied enough with them.
Olympiacos - Arguably the weakest in the pot. Could see us taking points off them home and away.
Anderlecht - Would take this, one of the weaker teams in the pot.
Liverpool - Would be a very very interesting tie, but, again, I'd prefer an easier route.
Roma - Another tough one, would rather avoid.
Besiktas - Don't like the idea of going to Turkey. Could probably take 3 points off them at home though.

    Ideal draw:
    Spartak
    Porto
    Olympiacos
    Celtic

    Nightmare draw:
    Bayern
    Barca
    Napoli
    Celtic

Realistically though, we have a 50% chance of drawing a Spanish team, and a 50% chance of drawing an English team, so hard to imagine we'll avoid both.

I think that's pretty spot on except I'd really like to avoid Chelsea as it will just attract all the Huns/Combat 18/BNP scum that follow them - bound to be trouble.
