If it's stopped then we might as well throw democracy to * and become a dictatorship.

We will see, although without border controls all those immigrants could just wander in ... Of course the EU might decide that there needs to be one themselves.

There will be border controls for people who want to go from Ireland to GB, these will be on the British Mainland, there will be no border controls for travel within Ireland.

So anyone who manages to fly into Belfast, or travels up from Dublin and wanders into NI will then technically be in the UK and able to claim asylum, that makes absolutely no sense at all.

No, not anyone, but if they are EU citizenship then they can stay anywhere on the island, they would have to get through immigration control if they try to get into GB

You're confused mate, NI is not GB, it may be UK but after brexit it will be given special status by th EU, as I've said before the British and EU do not want a hard border in Ireland, you make it sound like anyone in the world can fly into Ireland, they cant, everyone outside the EU will be subject to immigration control at Belfast or Dublin

I agree with you as regards this being the likely outcome, but it would be extremely unfair on those in NI who voted to leave if freedom of EU movement was allowed in NI but not in UK mainland. Immigration was probably the biggest driver for people to vote 'no' but in NI they may end up with free movement of EU nationals coupled with the negative economic impact of brexit.

For those with a British passport it also means they may have restrictions on their ability to move through mainland Europe but mainland Europeans get open borders to NI.

The people in NI voted to remain in the EU, if they want to avoid restrictions on travel, they know what document to get,

NI is part of 'GB'. Anyone who manages to fly into ROI will technically be able to wander into a part of the U.K./GB if they so wish and could then claim asylum.

Again, have you got a link to this ?

I initially thought that you were confused, however if you are unable to understand the difference between GB and UK then my posts won't make any sense,

No offence mate but NI is NOT part of GB.
It IS part of UK but NOT GB.
Look at front of a passport

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
If it was one then it would just be either Great Britain or just United Kingdom.

Oh ffs do I need to clarify my use of "GB" (in commas) as opposed to GB ? The fact remains ,if someone wanders into NI they will be in a part of the UK/"GB" for the purposes of work , claiming asylum 'free movement' etc.
Perhaps, in future, I shouldn't credit people with as much intelligence as I do and will have to explain each step of my post, this might reduce the "confusion" :56: While the difference between UK and GB is known, to those of us who give a * and bothered to find out, as far as the average immagrant is concerned the difference between UK or GB is non existent, irrelevant even.

When I say GB, as well, I'm not talking about The Green Brigade either ,in case there is any further confusion ..:giggle1:

Good to see the 'brains' behind brexit was laying the foundations for cordial negotiations between the UK (GB :giggle1:) and the EU was hard at work today ... farage really is a * :triplomur

I just can't workout how anyone thinks the EU would not prioritise the terms of leaving before they will start talking about any deals. I am even more stunned that some seem to think 'we' will have little to pay although some even think we should pay nothing :giggle1:

It doesn't matter if Brexit is a * anyway. If it is then big Nige says he is off to live in America. He's some guy. :giggle1:

Oh i think you will find if it is a * that it will indeed 'matter', well unless you are one of those cretins that wanted brexit at any price that is.
