You used to be able to get your head and stick it in a vat of boiling acid, but now you can't. They say; "what if Jews see it?"

You can't even write racial abuse in excrement on someone's car.

You've had the PaulM guarantee. You don't need any evidence or even an explanation to back that up. :giggle1:

For what it's worth, you're 100% correct. If he goes 12 with rounds with Mayweather he won't look as badly damaged as he did against Diaz in terms of blood/cuts etc but I have a feeling he's not the slightest bit concerned about a bit of blood or scar tissue. What he will be concerned about (in fact it's a concern he's openly expressed after having a front row seat to witnessing a fight that resulted in the death of a young fighter), is damage to his brain. People comparing it to a broken arm or a kick to the nuts is, quite frankly, embarrassing.

Will 36 minutes of Mayweather banging his head around have more chance of causing him permanent brain damage than 25 minutes of leg kicks, grappling, and head shots against Nate Diaz? Yes, by a significant distance.

It isn't anything to be positive about, but boxing is significantly more dangerous. In fact that was one of the arguments that the UFC have used again and again in their quest to legitimise MMA in America over the last couple of decades. There isn't a sport in the world whose participant suffer nearly as many sub-concussions blows than boxing imo, and then when concussion does come, they're generous enough to give you 10 seconds to recover, get back on your feet and take the punishment again! Pugilistic dementia isn't a 1 in a thousand thing or even 1 in a hundred. It's a common thing amongst guys who have had careers in the sport.

Just having a bit of fun mate, these are quotes, or at least how I remember them, from Stewart Lee's excellent piece on 'political correctness gone mad'.
When people mention terms like 'politically correct', 'easily offended' or 'the right to free speech', there is little you can do but laugh at them.

Just had never heard that saying tbh, but the Jews are permanently offended especially when questioned over their war crimes.

As sympathetic as I am to Palestine, you can't blame an entire religion or ethnic group, the division of the two can be very messy and is what leads to further confusion in the debate, for the entire crimes of the Israeli state. I knew a couple of Israeli conscientious objectors who moved near me at home, to give one example. They certainly can't be held responsible for the actions of the state they were born in
It is also important not to do so for the Palestinian cause, as making it about either the Jewish religion or ethnicity and you end undermining that cause as the debate then becomes, rightly or wrongly, about antisemitism. Be 100% forthright in your disgust at the Israeli state and be as anti-Zionist as you like, but be careful not to play into their hands by simply blaming 'the Jews'.

If this thread doesn't get back on to talking about the fight it'll get closed. Keep all the political stuff out of it.

Mate go check my posts in the politics section in the Israel Palestinian thread, I know that there are Left wing Jewish people all around the world who find Israel's actions abhorrent, the problem is that it is a new South Africa except worse in its apartheid stance, * even Ethiopian Jews have had mass protests over their treatment in Israel.

I take it you have that as well, Mike? :56:

You seem to have missed my point, again. Easy mistake to make when you're that wound up your boxing record gets brought into the discussion.

Continue trying to be a wide * questioning a staff warning post and you'll not be talking to anyone but yourself because you'll be on holiday.
