Liam Henderson

21 Today

 

Seems a popular lad etc, and has shown flashes of his quality. But has he improved that much, or even at all since his debut as a 17 year old under Lenny? No for me.

Not to the extent required anyway. Maybe another year on loan at Hibs, this time in the SPFL, would do him some good. I like him and believe there's potential there to play for our first team, but he's not ready yet.

 

I still like him and have changed my mind a few time's. Technically really good, passing crisp and can play a killer one that not many of our midfield currently can. Excellent set piece taker and can finish..

Lacks pace/mobility to get around the pitch but I'm sure that can come (the energy/mobility if the sports science coach get's a grip of him)..

Needs to be playing regularly and it's still not here just now with the competition we have but I'd think about giving him 1 more try. Make or break next season as 21 is still young and he's already experienced enough..

Either pushing here next season or a big move to a top end side in our league or possibly the mid to high end championship..

 

Another loan move to Hibs wouldn't be a bad idea now that they're in the Premiership.

 

I think he's stagnated a bit but still plenty of time to develop.

Needs regular games in the middle of the park at his age though.

 

Hibs wouldn't be a bad move for him even if it was on a permanent.

2/3 good seasons under Lenny there and I think he'd develop into a very good midfielder. Whether he'd end up back here I don't know.

 

He definitely hasn't progressed like we thought he would but hopefully a late bloomer..

Very young and making an impact at us and chipping in with some goals to... Last minute assists for us in Europe. Winning title's in Norway. Scottish cups with Hibs. All before the age of 21..

Should be established by now but as I say, I'd give him another year to go for it..

if we are to send him out anywhere it should be to the championship or top 5 league 1 team. Ideally he gets good level experience and returns a better player, at least if he's playing in those leagues, once he shows any form he should be able to command a decent transfer fee.
I think we messed up with likes of Jackson Irvine by releasing them, had they been in the shop window in league 1 we'd have been able to command a fee.
Still, big hopes up here for Henderson.

 

I really like him but I don't think he'll make it here unfortunately with the players ahead of him. He'll probably move on to an English Championship club when he leaves us and probably have a decent career.

 

Make or break season coming up.

Really rate this lad but perhaps not progressing enough? Looked the part. A bit slow but turns well, tidy passer with a good range, seems an intelligent player for his age too.

Have my doubts he'll feature much next season but hope he works hard over the summer and takes his chance if given. Or else I see him being shipped a year from now.

Never understood hype about him as iv mentioned on thread before, he does have a decent eye for a pass ill grant him that but I just cant see him progressing enough to make it as a regular here, he needs constant game time to become a decent player and hes no gonna get that here. For me we should be looking to sell.

 

Loan him out again to a top six team in the league. The assist on the 3-3 goal against Inter shows what class he's capable of. Also he just turned 21 and still have plenty of time to develop.

 

Nowhere near good enough.
