Celtic are chasing a place in the Scottish Cup final as they aim to complete the fabled treble
On Sunday, for the fourth time this season, Scotland's champions will face a tribute club that calls itself Rangers. Without going on too much of a tangent, we know the truth, they know the truth and we know that they know the truth about the fate of their old club, even if they won't admit it to themselves.

Despite this, fans of the new Rangers continue to have delusions of grandeur; they think they have an inherent right to be competing for Scotland's major trophies every season, despite this being their first ever season in the top flight. The superiority complex is a great source of amusement for fans of the bhoys in green and it's been fantastic watching Brendan Rodger's Celtic outclass them this season, on an off the pitch.

Mark Warburton's tragic hat has been returned to storage and labelled as faulty, while the Englishman himself has been replaced by Portuguese manager Pedro Caixinha. Previously manager of Santos Laguna, Caixinha has been seen on video congratulating Celtic on our title win in 2015. This is largely due to an affiliation that existed between Celtic and Santos Laguna, but it still caused much amusement amongst the Celtic support as the video resurfaced around the time of Caixinha's Ibrox appointment.

The laughs continued after Caixinha's first press conference saw him claim that Rangers have the best squad in Scotland. He could be forgiven for his ignorance, perhaps he hadn't been shown the league table at that point. Celtic might now be more than 30 points clear of Rangers, but at least their fans can still count the size of the gap on their fingers and toes.

For Rangers to achieve any sort of result against Celtic this season, they needed a lucky, late equaliser along with blatant cheating from a Rangers supporting referee. Yet they still couldn't beat us. For years, Celtic fans were taunted with claims we were paranoid and history shows we weren't paranoid enough. They might be a new club but that hasn't stopped the odd referee doing their best to stop Celtic winning.

It is simple, Celtic are better in every single position across the pitch, on the bench and in the management team. This means that if the team play to their ability, we will win.

Our recent form has seen us draw 3 games in 6, which shows that perhaps complacency and fatigue have played their part in preventing us continuing our winning run, along with two dodgy refereeing descisions against Rangers and Ross County.

Complacency and fatigue are unlikely to come into play in this Scottish Cup semi final, given that we have the chance of a treble at stake. The players will want this just as much as the fans and with no midweek game, Brendan Rodgers has had ample time to prepare the squad.

The personnel selected to start the match will be of keen interest to the Celtic support, with several fans airing their distaste for an unfamiliar formation, consisting of a back three, with one of the back three being a left back. With the league won with games to spare, Rodgers has the luxury of experimentation, but he will surely stick with a tried and tested 4-3-3 in the semi final.

Craig Gordon, since being dropped for Dorus De Vries earlier in the season, has recaptured his form and has maintained it consistently, meaning that the goalkeeper position picks itself for this one.

If Rodgers opts for a back four, expect Tierney at left back, Boyata and Simunovic in the middle and Lustig on the right. There is the option of Gamboa, who provides more pace, but Rodgers seems to prefer the Swede.

Club captain Brown will be partnered in midfield with the man on form, Stuart Armstrong. It will be between Bitton, McGregor and Rogic for the final spot in the midfield three. Rogic has only recently returned to action but his technique and vision is a key weapon in this Celtic side so I'd like to see him get the nod.

Sinclair will be on the left wing and Roberts or Forrest will be opposite, with the one not picked on the bench. Both offer something a little different but regardless of which one is picked, he will provide a headache for the Rangers left back.

The striker spot will likely go the Moussa Dembele, who has cemented the position as his own. Despite some small dips in form, he has been fantastic over the course of the season and his progression as a player has been a delight to watch. If Dembele starts, having Leigh Griffiths on the bench is a potent weapon to have in reserve, especially if the Ibrox side do the expected and park the bus.

Regardless of their line up and the referee, I fully expect Celtic to clinch victory and march onwards towards the treble.
