Boyata or Sviatchenko?

I still remember the reaction (myself included) when Boyata started in that cup game from out of nowhere fair play too him though he's been superb ever since

 

I'm talking about the fact you called him a "* Scottish player" when he's having a great season.

 

No, not yet anyway.

 

Lindsay is having a great season. I don't know why there are some against signing home grown talent, you know they will hit the ground running, no language problems etc, settled background.

I can see Lindsay going on to really establish himself and being worth a lot more money later on.Why not pick him off now while we still can ?.

 

Think it would be daft to get him in as our first choice. Erik's been * me off lately but there's no chance he's a worse defender than Liam Lindsay, even if I believe the boy has potential.

Plus, I like that Sviatchenko is more of a talker and an organiser. Boyata strikes me as a bit of a shrinking violet.

 

Aye I doubt he could get in our first team at this point. He's worth having a look at though.

 

You don't think Sviatchenko has mistakes in him? Think we've seen a good few already this season.

 

Never thought I'd ever say Boyata was better than Sviatchenko but there you go.

 

Sviatchenko is our best defender. That is my opinion.

 

He does, most defenders do. But I just trust him more than Boyata.

 

No. I think Jozo is.That is my opinion. Followed closely by Boyata. Sviatchenko third.

Ahh, I wasn't disagreeing with that, just think you'd probably call both of them over the course of their Celtic careers mistake prone.

Not Efe levels of mistakes but relatively often from both.

 

None of them fill me with confidence tbh, would prefer a more solid established defender to play alongside Simunovic for next season.

On current form of late i'd have Boyata in the team before Sviatchenko, although i thought Erik had a fine run last season which really impressed me but he's fell away this year for some reason hence why he's out the team.

 

Sviatchenko has been wretched in the last two Sevco games.That's counts against him. Big time.

Boyata never convinces me. I'm hoping Brendan is putting him in the team with a view to selling him in the summer.

Sviatchenko's a funny one. Towards the end of last season there were only three Celtic players who were pulling their weight week in week out and he was one of them. This season he's been terrible. At present I'm not really sure how to rate him. He's pretty slow and not very big for a centre back, ultimately I think those things will prevent him going on to be a really top player.

 

Totally undecided on this....there doesn't seem to be much between all 3....
I think Brendan and the management team are kinda on this road too.

 

Current form Boyata and Jozo are our best two by a distance.
